WEEK News 25 in Peoria reports that the Peoria International Airport was partially evacuated due to a bomb threat, and officials have a woman in custody.
TSA officials say a woman attempted to check a package at the American Airlines counter at about 6:30 p.m.. Peoria County Sheriff Mike McCoy told 1470 WMBD that the package contained dynamite, a timer and bottles of fluid, which were found during a routine scan by TSA officials.
The scan was confirmed when authorities opened the package using a robot. The woman is being questioned by authorities.
Flights were delayed at the airport for nearly three hours due to the threat. Traffic was backed up for about a half mile on the nearby Dircksen Parkway while officials investigated the threat, but traffic is now moving.
However, officials say they are taking necessary precautions with the explosives. Police are still investigating the threat, and no injuries have been reported.
Just one of those special alarm clocks, I suppose. Guaranteed loud enough to wake the neighbors.
And as most people know, Peoria is much smaller than Chicago. (A line from the movie “Radioland Murders”)
Update: Local news is now reporting that it was not dynamite but red sticks labeled “dynamite”.

Is she related by religion to Clock Boy?
If she’s a Muzzie and they treat her with less than kid gloves, how soon before Obama stomps his feet and lectures the police?
They why didn’t she just FedEx or UPS it? Shipping by air cargo is $$$.
Are you kidding? That’s her excuse? LOL!
Apparently she works for Planned Parenthood. Perhaps they use bombs to dispose of fetuses or something.
I guess we’re lucky that a TSA agent didn’t try to steal the bomb.
Lol!
Peoria has an international airport because they fly to Canada from there, i guess.
