On her way to work one morning Down the path alongside the lake A tender-hearted woman saw a poor half-frozen snake His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew "Oh well," she cried, "I'll take you in and I'll take care of you" "Take me in oh tender woman Take me in, for heaven's sake Take me in oh tender woman," sighed the snake
She wrapped him up all cozy in a curvature of silk And then laid him by the fireside with some honey and some milk Now she hurried home from work that night as soon as she arrived She found that pretty snake she'd taken in had been revived "Take me in, oh tender woman Take me in, for heaven's sake Take me in oh tender woman," sighed the snake...

That is a really old, old story, goes back to the Middle Ages I think, and still relevant today.
Related to the “Frog and the Scorpion” story.
Powerful!

Thanks for the link to the video where you don’t have to sign in. Still trying to figure out why someone would have to sign in to see the one on Youtube. Anyhow, thanks again.
It’s an age restriction put on by the uploader due to the violent content (otherwise known as religion of peace at work)

The parable of the snake was part of Aesop’s Fables, but put to music in the hit song by Al Wilson in the late sixties. Here’s a lip-synched live performance for anyone interested:

Thanks
WOW
Much more powerful with the pictures
It’s one of Aesop’s Fables.
I wish it were 3,000,535 views. This, along with the book, Day of Wrath should be seen/read by congress. Maybe those jerks would wake up and leave their insulated silos and halt the invasion.
This novella by New York Times bestselling author William R. Forstchen imagines a horrifying scenario where, in the course of one day, the terrorist group ISIS carries out massacres in schools and on highways across the United States. With a surprisingly small but well-organized and ruthless force, the nightmarish devastation brings America to a state of near-paralysis.
That would be "coverture." Otherwise, great!
