Memo to Ted Cruz (Vanity)
March 31, 2016 | Din Maker

Posted on 03/31/2016 6:17:12 AM PDT by Din Maker

MEMO TO TED CRUZ: Senator Cruz, throughout your entire campaign you have stated repeatedly: "The American people know that I will do exactly what I say I will do." Well, Mr. Cruz, my question for you is: WHAT ABOUT THE PLEDGE? You're breaking your word on that so you will break your word on anything else you choose to. I once thought you were the Messiah to the GOP, but in the past month or so I have come to see you as just another lying, sleazy, scumbag politician.

Yeah right! ( eye roll).

There is a sex scandal. And...Cruz is not a natural born citizen.

Cruz musta smoked too many ersatz Cuban cigars.
He/s having pipe dreams about winning.

Here/s the real deal: The Republican race is such a lopsided win for Trump that it’s ludicrous to suggest otherwise. In Texas, Cruz won only 44% of his home state/s vote.....not even enough to get all the delegates. Trump won a chunk of Texas delegates.

Cruz eked out victories in a few caucus states known for oddball vote-counting methods. Cruz won in places that are not conducive to jump-starting his losing campaign, places none cares about:

Virgin Islands by 30 votes
Wyoming by 480 votes
Alaska by 600 votes
Maine by 2,500.

Here are the rounded total votes Cruz won in his 8 states.

Virgin Isl 200 people
Wyoming 620 people
Alaska 8,400
Maine 8,500
Kansas 35,000
Iowa 52,000
Utah 122,000
Okie 158,000

SUMMING UP Cruz bet a bundle on the south, then lost badly. It is doubtful Cruz can bring his (cough) “current winning streak” to the east.

St Ted won 8 states totaling a measly 385,000 votes.

By contrast, Trump won some 15 states w/ an astounding 1,350,000 votes, so far. (hat tip FReeper Beautiful_Gracious_Skies)

No one who has been bribing politicians for decades cab be considered an “outsider”. The orange-tinted blowhard has been funding those who are destroying the country rather than fighting them.

You’re such a partisan idiot.

Now that's what I call a winning argument...sheesh! A fine way to bring people over to your side.

What documents would that be?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The same documents that every other U.S. citizen born abroad has with in the same birth year as Cruz . Where are they? Oh yeah! Hidden!

I’m in the same camp. I sometimes wonder if this is some odd psychobabble and people use the internet to vent frustrations because of all sorts of issues. I can’t imagine that ppl talk to real people like they do here. It smacks of a game video on YouTube where a bunch of teens start talking trash.

Trump won 21 states, and nearly all the states were won by tens and hundreds of thousands of votes. The millions that have attended his rallies have voted.

Marianas 343... Hawaii...........6,000
Vermont...... 20,000.....Nevada.........35,000
Kentucky..... 83,000.....N. Hamp.....101,000
Louisiana.... 125,000....Arkansas....133,000
Mississippi...191,000....S. Carolina...241,000
Arizona........250,000.....Mass...........311,000
Tennessee....333,000.....Virginia.......356,000
AlaBama.......372,000.....Missouri......382,000
N. Carolina...458,000.....Michigan...483,000
Georgia........503,000......Illinois.........557,000
Idaho.............100,943......Florida 1,079,741

Trump won 21 states with 6,020,000 votes. He has a total of 7,897,990 votes and 755 delegates. Thats 290 more delegates than Ted. (hat tip FReeper Beautiful_Gracious_Skies)

Cruz’s only way to prevail now is by pure chicanery, just how he began this campaign. It is impossible for him to have a clean delegate win

So YOU are the partisan idiot asserting Cruz broke a pledge not broken.

Cruz supporters are the only people on the planet Earth that actually believe that.

The Pope
The Mexican Government
The U.S. Media both right and left
Foreign Governments
Foreign Jihadis
The Davos Globalists
The EU
The UK Parliament
The Chinese
The Japanes

and the majority of Republican Primary voters all disagree with your premise.

Well, I didn’t like this whole “pledge” nonsense from the beginning, but, contrary to what the media is reporting, Cruz did not actually say he would not back the eventual nominee. What he said was, “I am not in the habit of supporting anybody who attacks my family”. “Not in the habit”. Then he said he was just going to beat Trump for the nomination. He left himself plenty of room to, in the end, still support the nominee. A smart politician uses rhetoric that helps in the short term, but does not box himself in for the long run.

He already said that to win you can’t run as a 3rd party.

That wasn't the question. When he runs as a third party will you support him. His end game from the beginning was to get sHrillary elected. Are you going to help him do that?

The orange-tinted blowhard has been funding those who are destroying the country rather than fighting them.

I've yet to see a forceful denunciation of that by Trump. How does one "Make America Great Again", when he's an admitted crony capitalist? I'm not going to suggest he's another Wesley Mouch or Herbert Mowen, but he's sure as hell not Hank Rearden. He comes across more as a Mr. Thompson IMO.

Unfortunately, Ted Cruz is no John Galt, either. He's been disappointing me over the past few weeks.

Well said, and I'd respect a Trump delegate who says the same thing.

Settle down. The pledge is just being used for leverage.

In Trump's case, to keep the convention and process fair. In Cruz's case, to keep Trump from attacking his wife and kids.

No need. He won’t run 3rd party this time. If he ends up not being the nominee, I’ll be delighted to vote for his post-gop 3rd party in 2020.
