Ted Cruz made his debut on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Wednesday night, and needless to say, fellow GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump received a not-so-honorable mention: Cruz joked about running Trump over with a car.
Before Cruz sat down with Kimmel, a segment with April Fool's Day prank ideas was aired. One of the ideas involved putting a picture of Trump in front of the backup camera of someone's car so a person would mistakenly think they were about to hit Trump when they reversed.
Cruz later brought up the prank when Kimmel asked the Texas senator who he liked least: Trump or President Barack Obama.
"Look, I dislike Obamas policies more, but Donald is a unique individual," Cruz said.
"I will say, I was watching the early part of the show, and if I were in my car getting ready to reverse and saw Donald in the backup camera, Im not confident which pedal Id push," Cruz said, jokingly.

Oh Ted being cool on Jimmys show. Just wait till Cruz gets the nomination, Jimmy will be making jokes on Cruz every night. Since Cruz has not been vetted, it will be done during the general and the media will be out to destroy Cruz. It will be interesting to watch. I hope Cruz has enough supporters to counter those of us who will write trump in the general. Cruz thinks he’s big man on campus since he is making fun of trump all the time. Nope the big guys are standing by because Cruz is doing the dirty work on trump right now. The cool kids will turn on Cruz so fast if he gets the nomination. Watch for it.
The treatment that reporter got when she got close to Trump is no more severe than the treatment anyone gets from a bodyguard if they try to approach someone they should not approach.
I once saw a woman jump up on the stage and try to rush Elton John at a concert. She did not reach him--his bodyguards leaped on the stage and grabbed her firmly by both arms and pulled her off that stage. The whole event lasted less than a minute. Elton John, being a skilled and professional showman, only backed away a few steps when he saw her coming towards him and did not miss a note.
That reporter was not roughed up--the bodyguard firmly removed her from a position she should not have been in. If she has a case for charges against the bodyguard (aka campaign manager), then so does everyone who has ever tried to get near a public figure and been stopped by bodyguards. Usually, in those cases, the person rushing the public figure gets blamed. But since this is Trump, some are trying to blame him instead. It's the same mentality that blames him for the violent leftists trying to disrupt his rallies.
I respect your decision. I’m voting for trump in two weeks but I wont write in trump in the generals if cruz gets the nod.
I don’t think now is a good time for a protest vote. But that’s just me.
Oh now I get it
Trump’s honesty about saying he didn’t want Cruz’s support
Agree or not that is Trump
I do not think he respects Cruz’s character and I am not really sure he is enough of a politician to compromise and suppress his own beliefs forthe sake of winning .. Which could be a fatal ( politically speaking) flaw
So we will,go on and on with the same-o same-o
Guys and gals who say the right things to get elected
And the establishment will return to its normal state of being reassured by this
Maybe Ted should proactively enroll in a defensive driving course.
I didn’t say that.
He could have said for the sake of unity I would accept his support. He wouldn’t have been lying, because it’s a good reason.
Trump is NEVER going to be GOPe because he handles questions a little better in some instances and gives an answer that appeases voters.
I don’t want to be crying in my beer because Trump moral absolutists never wanted him to more “flexible” at times
Come on. You cant want that either. You know what he is going to do once in office.
He plays the game a little, he wins. The other outcome is too horrifying to think of.
With the amount of time Ted probably spends in the backseat of cars, I doubt that he even remembers how to drive.
But I bet Ted won't sue the National Enquirer
Romney, Graham, Jeb all support who? Yup, the establishment candidate. For Cronyism, look no further than Goldman Sachs.
I’m certain that Lyin’ Ted will blame Trump for his remarks. What a mama’s boy Cruz is.
Name three questions that have required Trump to issue clarifications...I'll wait.
Along with Stabby the Clown, this will be ignored by the slimy GOPe bloggers who rail about Trump’s “culture of violence.”
It’s early. I will see who is nominated and if it’s Cruz he has a lot of time to help me change my mind and vote for him. I just hate his campaign right now. But maybe during the general he’ll be great.
Did that confirmation that no one would get hurt come from the great messiah himself?
“Did that confirmation that no one would get hurt come from the great messiah himself?”
Do you really need that assurance?
You didn’t watch the previous segment, did you?
I am not a Cruz fan. That being said, I think it was a goofy joke and no harm done. I agree the media would play it differently if it were Trump but that’s on the media. Not anyone else’s fault.
Cruz had a choice to criticize Obama or Trump. He chose Trump. Of course he did.

Yep. Disgusting. Of course he’ll get a pass from the media as always.
I think you missed the point, Great messiah = Ted Cruz. That was in reference to your Beloved comment.
