Wonder how many gamers post here?
I stopped playing MOBA games because of this atmosphere. They’ve always been this way.
I’m a gamer, but offline only.
Speaking of which, the Fallout 4 Survival Mode has gone from too easy, to “why on earth would anybody want to do that?” in the new release. No fast travel, you can only save the game by finding a bed to sleep in for an hour, you have to eat and hydrate regularly, and other restrictions.
Thanks but no thanks.
Saw this and after Jim’s post thought it might be pertinent.
Wondered if the gaming atmosphere was bleeding over?
these punks are all badass under the anonymity of the ‘net - ‘virtual toughguys’ - whatever.
But these same punks would be the first ones to get knocked out in a real world situation, because they will react as if it were a ‘virtual’ situation, ~ “if I get hammered, all I have to do is CTRL A + D + Select, and my life -force will increase”!
Apologies to gamers...
LOVE Fallout 4, but when a game becomes a chore, I’m no longer interested.
what a load!
The feminists have SOOOOOO many legit targets to attack; genital mutilation, etc. but do they let out a SINGLE PEEP..?
NOPE..!
Instead they chose to make up a load of BS about how video games were hostile to women —something NO ONE was thinking about, since 85% of gamers are GUYS.
And they gave all the gamers BOTH BARRELS, screaming at them full force. ALL the gamer jouralists joined in.
And gamers REACTED.
In fact, ya know the B.S. they say about Trump PROVOKING..?
Yeah, the feminists did that with the gamers, and now maybe 95% of gamers realy ARE homophobic and anti-feminist.
Sorry, this gets NO sympathy from me.
GAMER-GATE, look it up.
I gotta tell you. There’s nothing worse than having some twelve year old trash talk your game.
LOL!!!
Few of them are.
Have never played one. :^)
Wouldn’t know where or how.
Heroes of the Storm is pretty mild as far as MOBAS go. That said League of Legends goes wayyyyyy beyond the others and other genres entirely. I doubt they’ll be able to tame the “people” who play their game, although I do give them credit as well as giving Ghostcrawler credit for taking on a job there.
Exactly this, just another attempt by SJW’s to control thought and speech through their bullying. The gaming community has always been free from PC thought police, does that lead to rough speech sometimes sure... but so what, the alternative of controlled speech according to leftist diktat is far worse.
I just about a week or so ago came across a tremendous site for playing 8-Ball pool. Players can make comments during the game, but they are pre-packaged ones such as “nice shot”, “good game”, “you’re good”, “hee hee”, among other such things. The closest I’ve come to being personally insulted was when one sarcastic but very good player would keep selecting the “you’re good”, or “hee hee” comment whenever I missed a shot. Anyway, the game really is great, but it is addicting. If you’re interested, here is the link:
You may have to download a plug-in from the site in order to play the game. I don’t recall. You can play anonymously, or register and enter tournaments and more.

POOL’S CLOSED!!!
1) If the article stated that the inserted advice were true, I missed it. Is it true that gamers are better players if the language is less racist, less sexist, less vitriolic?
2) Moderator could try it here in chat rooms. When GGG posts vitriolic language about Trump, Moderator could feed GGG psychosocial babble. Im sure that will cool off GGG.
3) When we go to vote, the electronic votematic could give us psychosocial babble to cool us off before we vote.
If you say so, OK?
