I haven’t had oatmeal in years. Last week I bought some cinnamon flavored. I will have that tomorrow morning with apple slices.
Good morning! Thanks for the Ping, Dolly
And thank you for including me in your beautiful post this morning. How nice to find refuge with friends who feel that ‘something’ is definitely missing in the way of friendship, helpfulness and positive thinking. ALWAYS, love the pics either by vision or words. :-))
A comment on Donald’s speech in De Pere,Wi yesterday. It was (IMHO) the best speech I’ve heard thus far; even out ranking his AIPAC appearance. It was mesmerizing and held my attention throughout.
Dropping in to say Good Morning and TG its almost FRIDAY!
Good morning, Dolly. What a sweet post!! You’ve made my day....but, I bet you have a knack for making a lot of folks feel special.
Love the pics...of you and of your place. Now we can picture you busy at work!
You remind me of my aunt who has a similar story and lifestyle. She’s having a great time, too.
Blessings to you.
That explains a lot.
Thank you! It’s very hard to lose one of our beloved pets, I know, especially so close together. I’m sorry.
Hey all,
Since there aren’t any Rally events today, I thought it might be fun to highlight a person of interest. Keep our moral strong as we wait for the next primary victory. I will, with your permission, highlight a person of interest during down times between rallies, just for fun. Who knows maybe nikos will throw in a trivia question or two!
Ladies and Gents allow me to present The Trump Families’ Most Interesting Person of the Day, Audie Murphy:
Audie Leon Murphy born June 20, 1925 hailed from Texas and most know that he was one of the most decorated American combat soldiers of World War II. During the war, Murphy received every military combat award for valor available from the U.S. Army, as well as French and Belgian awards for heroism. But what truly sets him apart to this day was the one battle that I believe defined him not only as a remarkable soldier, but as a true American hero who faced overwhelming odds and triumphed over them.
In 1945 he participated in the Colmar Pocket where he would later be awarded the Medal of Honor for valor. It was here that Murphy single-handedly held off an entire company of Germans for an hour. Mind boggling in itself but then, wounded and out of ammunition, he led a successful counterattack. Murphy was only 19.
After the war, he married, divorced, married and stared in the movie version of his autobiography, To Hell and Back. He did suffer from PTSD and slept with a loaded handgun under his pillow. Facing financial issues in latter life, Murphy still refused offers to appear in alcohol and cigarette commercials because he did not want to set a bad example.
Audie Murphy’s life came to a tragic end May 28, 1971 in a plane crash in Virginia about a month before his 46th birthday. He was interred with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
Have a great rest of your day everybody. I’m off to the grocery store. Making homemade chicken stew for supper tonight. Lots of family coming over. I love it!
I haven’t had it in ages. My husband and I were just a few days ago talking about how much we loved oatmeal when we were growing up.
Cute fur babies!!! We have Sam (golden retriever) and Finn (irish setter). I think I spend more money and time on them than I did on my kids when they were little. But don’t tell my boys that!!
Thank you Dolly for your photos - hotel looks great and I love all the flowers
oatmeal cookies
Wow!!! This should have it’s own thread!!
This appearance outshone his speech at AIPAC (if that would be possible). It was mesmerizing and when it ended one was left with the experience of walking in the man’s shoes.
Thanks for the ping and the schedule.
Always a pleasure to ‘hang out’ with friends who have such positive attitude. Put on a happy face :-))
JANE...WOW!
Every word is spot on!!!!!!
Agree, agree, agree....
..and
...AMEN!!!!!!
I have to remind myself that the campaign folks have it all under control since they’re the professionals, but still, I want to say “do more rallies, have more ads, say thus and that...” As for the abortion thing, you’d think because this is a republican primary, it wouldn’t hurt him, but sometimes just bad press hurts, but Trump has had worse press and came out smelling like a rose. Praying he’ll do well in Wisconsin, because later there’s Pennsylvania and others. Don’t want Lyin Ted or Kasic to get momentum.
Yes.
Good morning!
Breakfast looks great, lysie! It’s snowing here, so oatmeal is just the ticket!
Dolly, lovely posts this morning. You and your surroundings are looking very welcoming and elegant.
Guennie, your spiritual comments are uplifting at a time when we seem to be needing them.
The events of the this week, when everything seems to be turning to doodoo for Trump, put me in mind of Margaret Thatcher’s statement to George Bush: “Don’t go wobbly...”
I believe in Donald Trump, and will do what I can to encourage him and help him become the President the country needs. Take that, GOPe!
Good Morning Dolly thank you for sharing your photos, you are quite lovely inside and out!!! The inn is quite lovely also!!! Have a GREAT DAY!!!
Hi dear friend!
Wonderful post, Polly.......and ThankYou!
....and THANKS for reminding us of that timely quote
LET’S NOT GO WOBBLY FOLKS!!!!!!
