lorida police have charged Donald Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski with simple assault in connection with an incident earlier in the month involving a reporter.
Police in Jupiter, Florida issued Lewandowski a notice Tuesday to appear before a judge on May 4 for the misdemeanor charge. A surveillance video released by the police appears to show Lewandowski grabbing a reporter for Breitbart News as she tried to ask Trump a question during a March 8 campaign event.
The police report states: "Lewandowski grabbed (Michelle) Fields' left arm with his right hand causing her to turn and step back." Fields showed police her left forearm which "appeared to show a grabbing-type injury," according to the investigating officer.

Based on the probable cause affidavit and the video everyone is talking about, there was a crime wave in that area. People were streaming through and there was a lot of unwanted touching.
I am guessing if they go through all of the video that they have, they can find plenty of instances where she committed battery by that definition.
Also the video is so choppy, I think it’s evidentary value is in question.

Look at the video yourself. He grabbed her arm, made her stumble and lied about it. Her story is supported by another reporter. The facts are there. Don’t believe them if you don’t want to but believe the lies about Cruz- inconsistent.

He did grab her and pull her back and did not have the authority to do so. It is simple assault. Objectively, political support notwithstanding.
