Federal employees are protected and hard to fire.

Trump could close agencies/depts and leave employees to report to an empty buildings. Or perhaps Trump could assign them to dig ditches or build roads at the salary they get at old job. Or perhaps he could reassign them to a state in fly over country - way way way out in a rural area.

I would love to see that. The federal employees would whine whine whine.

Trump is not killing Conservatism. Rush is not killing it.

The GOPe killed it a LOOOOOOONG time ago by passing-off policies that harmed the country and only benefitted their donors as being “conservative”.

The brand it now thoroughly trashed. Trump is the closest thing to conservative most people will currently vote for.

Rush is astute and surely knows this.

First off Rush berates Trump Daily in his sneeky snide little way and pushes Cruz pretending he is not endorsing anyone! This article is pure BS!

My theory: he’s struggling between his affection and loyalty to his friendships (with men, of course, never a woman) and his audience. I’m thinking his friendships are winning, and he’ll lose the trust of his audience.

I get the exact same impression.

From one day to the next you get the impression a Rush clone is in charge who has nothing to do with the Rush form the preceding day. They are like night and day.

I would say one could start with his brother, who campaigned across the state of MO with Cruz. Ample pressure from his best buds at the foxes and NR.
Back when I did listen to rush, he took great issue with GWBush using the phrase ‘compassionate’ conservative. From what I read, Rush has become quite creative in naming brands of conservative. Rubio a ‘full throated’ conservative... Cruz ‘consistent’ conservative.. These are signals that Rush is full of deception.

Rush knows he hates Hillary Clinton. I don’t blame him, but it makes him gloss over other facts and problems. And he keeps reminding us that the Democrats are the problem. But what happens when the democrats control our Republican representatives? It’s not a matter of who is worse anymore. We did better under Bill Clinton with a GOP opposition than we did under W—he tried harder to foist amnesty in us than he ever did to defeat terror..his family is in deep financially with the Sauds. We did better with Pelosi than a treacherous Boehner. I honestly do not hate the democrats—they’ve never built up my trust for a big sellout.

Indeed, he's suffering from confusion because his heart is engaged, and I do love Rush, although I did get annoyed when he defended Me-Again Kelly..I suspect it was because she's his "type"--skinny blonde in too-tight Eurotrash skirts.

He's always had a strange thing going on with women. I've said more than once that Rush is. "Man's man"--prefers the company of men, but cursed with heterosexuality. (I don't mean he's sexist or would in any way disrespect a woman) He marries 'em young, and they're gone well before the first blush us off or menopause threatens. He never had a woman as a guest host, even though his fans might enjoy that once in a while.

I guess u accuse him of parochialism. His brother writes some great books--I loved "Emmaus"--but he's just another lawyer, like his dad and his grandpa. I've been listening to Rush long enough to remember his mom--what a delightful lady! I just adored it when she came on and Rush talked about her.

A show or so back, Rush had a very well-spoken woman Trump supporter. She was intelligent and made her case with courtesy. I could sense that Rush disliked her, and slipped up and said she was from "Trump University"--he immediately issued a retraction and apology...but why did he slip in the first place?

u guess u live Rysh, but I'm not trusting him like I used to.

“Rush has not been favorable to Trump “AT ALL”.”

Well he did used to cover Trump an awful lot. Never really propped him up, just reported the facts. Cruz, now there’s where Rush shows his bias. He spends a lot of time shoring up Cruz’s sinking image.

Rush is right about one thing though. The iPad Pro is an amazing machine.

No one who wants to make America great again loves Cruz.

If people who do not agree with you on each and every issue are not to properly be called conservative, than I fear you are the only person in the world who is conservative. The more private you make the term, the fewer it will apply to...until it simply means those who agree with you...and eventually...only you.

I think some of your comments are obviously more true than we might like.

On the other hand, Trump seems to be in touch with people that are common folks, and he’s worth billions.

I’ve got Limbaugh on now. I’ll listen for a week or so and see what I come up with.

It may be very close to your view for all I know.

Thanks Sushiman. I haven’t listened to Savage in a long time.

He was getting rather fringe at one point and I signed off.

Not sure what he’s up to these days.

I’m glad he signed on to Trump, but I’d consider it sort of a Glenn Beck endorsement.

What’s your take on it?

Thanks for the mention.

I’ve been lax listening to Rush. I’m going to start listening again. We’ll see how it goes.

Listen liar I heard EXACTLY what he said WHEN he said so don’t try and tell me what I heard. Not only did I hear it Friday night but he and the other two stooges repeatedly blamed Trump all that weekend.

Riots and their justification not something that might have happened elsewhere.

War came to Chicago and Cruz joined the Enemy.

I knew he was owned by Wall Street but that shocked me to the core.

Spin? A whirling dervish shouldn’t mention “spin”.

I didn’t mean to upset you into name calling and such. And I am not trying to tell you what you heard, we all have experiences and biases that we filter life thru. I was just pointing out what was said isn’t the same as what others have reported about it. I was really surprised when I heard it reported that ‘Cruz blamed Trump for the violence in Chicago’, and I was glad to read what he said and see that what was reported wasn’t what happened.

You can believe what you want to believe.

An example of blaming the perps, not the victims - Cruz said ‘the responsibility for that (violence in Chicago before the Trump rally was canceled) lies with protesters who took violence into their own hands.’

An example of blaming the victims, not the perps - Trump said (concerning the cartoon contest in Texas less than a year ago) ‘Nobody would fight harder for free speech than me but why taunt, over and over again, in order to provoke possible death to audience. DUMB!’

Again, I didn’t mean to upset you. Have a great day.

Had Cruz stopped with the condemnations everything would have been fine. But NOOO, he had to go on and blame Trump for creating an atmosphere of violence and he repeated it over the whole weekend. That is a TOTAL lie and is EXACTLY what the Democratmedia’s meme is.

Trump had NOTHING to do with these rioters and CRUZ KNOWS THIS. They were there because Trump has them terrified because he won’t give them the time of day and is the enemy of all they stand for.

They stage attacks on NO ONE ELSE, why is this?

Trump’s concern in Chicago about the safety of the audience led him to cancel and, believe me, people would have been killed. That was the same concern he stated about Texas, the safety of the crowd.

Now Cruz has joined the chorus against Lewandowski, yet another FLAT-OUT media LIE. This is despicable, yet consistent with his actions over the last month.

And to think he was once one of my heroes. I am ashamed.
