Ted Cruz for a third time would not say that he would support Donald Trump as the GOP presidential nominee, the latest sign that his pledge to do so may be softening. Cruz late last week began signaling that his unconditional support for the Republican front-runner was not as ironclad as previously. But asked by CNN's Sunlen Serfaty on Monday if he would definitively say that he would not support Trump, the Texas senator left his answer ambiguous.
"I'm not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my family," Cruz said. "Donald Trump is not gonna be the nominee. We are gonna beat him for this nomination."

He did not directly. The anti-Trump PAC did right before Utah and all indications are that it was a tag team effort with Cruz’s campaign manager knowing/authorizing the add buy showing Trump’s wife. However, instead of disavowing it right out of the box, Cruz’s campaign immediately denied it had anything to do with it just like they did with the other issues that have arisen during the course of the campaign. Can the Cruz campaign be tagged with all those lies? Of course not...it’s politics and they’re good at the game. But if it walks and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck. Trump has always said he doesn’t hit first, but he hits back...hard. And this one has hurt Ted.

Smartest thing Cruz could do is drop out and support Trump, Cruz is destroying himself, everyday is a new disaster worse than the last one. It is like watching a snail commit suicide inching along a long road to the cliff. He doesn’t have a clue how to run a successful campaign.
The way things are going, I don’t think Trump will want his support.

Cruz has run a pretty strong but very dirty campaign and if he was running as a Democrat he’d be well on the way to the nomination. Watching him steal 5 points from Ben Carson in Iowa insured that I never supported him again, but for a Dem race that type of stuff is normal and expected.
Team Cruz and Heidi would be like the Clinton’s 2.0 if they joined the other side. In fact it wouldn’t shock me if he switched sides if the sex scandal causes him to lose the race.

The whole world (outside of you deranged Trump bots) would understand if Ted Cruz withheld his support should Trump win the GOP nomination by mistake(he won’t).
