Ted’s argument is not with Trump. Ted’s argument is with the National Enquirer. Denying any affairs took place is a good first step, however he needs to specify that not only did he never have any affairs, he does not have, nor has he ever had a mistress or mistresses and that he has unequivocally been faithful to his wife Heidi.

And MOST important: Ted needs to demand, not ask but *demand* an immediate apology and retraction from the National Enquirer OR: he will instruct his legal team to begin legal proceedings. The longer he hesitates to make that demand, the more damage that is going to be inflicted. He’s got to do it now, preferably in time for the Sunday talk shows today.

If I had nothing to hide, I would do exactly what you describe. This feels like a Bill Clinton denial.

And then, on top of that, the rumor is that Heidi was riding other horses too.

All we have to do is wait this out and it will either fizzle in the next few days or the drip, drip, drip will keep dripping.

SORRY, BUT YOU AND SOME OTHER TRUMP SUPPORTERS HERE ARE VERY WRONG. Sen. Cruz also has an argument with Trump on the sexual rumors attacks.

The Associated Press has to be in Hillary Clinton’s camp, yet here is a paragraph from the AP’s Saturday story in my Northern California newspaper:

“The Cruz story published this week in the tabloid described what it called rumors, PROVIDING NO EVIDENCE that Cruz had engaged in an extramarital affair. THE ONLY SOURCE quoted by name was a former Trump campaign adviser, Roger Stone, who said such “stories have been swirling around Cruz for some time” without offering any evidence they are true.”

SO LET’S RECAP: Trump has lived a rather immoral, sleazy life, dumping two wives for mistresses and then being a serial adulterer (by his own accounts in two books). So now Trump’s pal at the National Enquirer (the publisher) runs a sleazeball story attacking Cruz as having affairs and the only source quoted is Trump’s advocate, Roger Stone. WHO IN THE SANDHILL IS CIRCULATING THE RUMORS — none other than Roger Stone. The source of the attacks on Cruz keeps coming back to Trump — what a doubly sleazy guy.

Seems Cruz has been accusing others of lying.
First was the flap with Dr. Carson in Iowa.
Cruz was denying everything, yet, the only person that could benefit from the lie was Ted Cruz.
Now, Trump is accused of lying, so says Cruz.
I don’t know the truth and don’t know anyone that does, but seems like Cruz is nervous and his actions confirms it.
I hope this clears soon so we can get on with electing a President.

Unfortunately, to do that, Cruz has to be certain that there isn’t a scintilla of TRUTH to the allegations. All the faux indignation, and using the matter to blame his opponent won’t mean crap if ANY of the NE’s story is the truth. The fact that there’s not been the kind of actions you state, gives us all pause.

The problem is that as a public figure, it is extremely difficult to prove actionable liable. The women would have a much easier time than Ted making credible threats to sue.
