Donald Trump insisted Friday he had nothing to do with the recent National Enquirer story in which Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is accused of cheating on his wife multiple times.
Still, Trump took the moment to point out the tabloid publication has been right in the past with similar stories.
“I have no idea whether or not the cover story about Ted Cruz in this week’s issue of the National Enquirer is true or not, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it, did not know about it, and have not, as yet, read it,” Trump said in a statement. “Ted Cruz’s problem with the National Enquirer is his and his alone, and while they were right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others, I certainly hope they are not right about Lyin’ Ted Cruz.”
The National Enquirer’s parent company, AMI, also released a statement…

When you run as a “pure” Christian and constitutional conservative, and then these allegations come up??? Cruz is NOT a “pure” anything. The ONLY Pure Person is JESUS CHRIST! To worship Cruz in such a way is disgusting. If Cruz doesn’t come out and say, “I have not had any extra-marital affairs”, he’s lying. It’s Lying Cruz’s fault for putting himself and his family in this tragic situation. He was so arrogant that he probably thought this would stay hidden. Not so for someone trying to become President of the United States!

The reason I think Trump would be like Zero is his modus operandi. He is autocratic , authoritarian and is used to getting his way and calling all the shots. When asked who he consults he says he consults himself and he has a good brain. That response was stunning to me. I like Trump's being politically incorrect but I don't like his name-calling and insults.

I wonder if he was overlapping. For example, If one gal was going out with him thinking it was exclusive, while he was “dating” others, too. That would make me mad enuff’ to blow the whistle on him.
If you can't find any substance from Trump you either are ignoring what he says or you are not being truthful; kinda like Cruz blaming Trump for the NE article...
Trump has laid out the substance of how he will get jobs back from China and Mexico...He's laid out how he will get Mexico to pay for the wall...He gave an estimate on the cost of the wall...Trump laid out his plan for healthcare and a host of other things...
It is Cruz who given us no substance...All he talks about is restoring the Constitution which in fact doesn't need restoring...It just needs a leader who will encourage and force if possible the people to follow the Constitution...

The one gal is a spokesperson for Trump, and she denies the story. I imagine that if it were true she could say “in a moment of weakness, etc.”. Her life WOULD be changed, but - it had already changed IF she had had an affair. And I imagine Mr. Trump (or should I say President Trump) would see that she received any and all help in getting through this difficult time of her life.
There is *no way* I'm going to follow a hashtag like that!!! I'm almost positive it would lead to some "cannot be unseen" moments.
