It’s not a good idea.

I doubt it. Trump is waaaaaay too smart for that.

(But Christie is dumb enough to think that Trump might make him VP.)

"I don’t think 2 East coast guys help in the general."

I think it depends on which two East Coast guys.

Christie would definitely hurt Trump.

Giuliani, OTOH...

I’m paraphrasing Trump from a while ago. Didn’t he say he wanted his Veep to be someone who knows the workings of DC?
A Sessions-like guy would meet that requirement, but I understand the strategic limitations of Jeff.

Like Carson, Christy was immaculated. Unlike Savage, who went from Persona Immaculata to persona non grata in a day.

Carson we all love him but to low energy. Election are won enthusiasm and hard work. Get your people pumped. Not like Mittens and Ryan.

I’m hoping he chooses someone YOUNG with a solid foundation and living a good, clean life. How that squares with D.C. living is another matter : )

YES to Jeff Sessions choosing the VP, it’s a wonderful suggestion. We would know whoever he chose would be honest and trustworthy, with like-minded Constitutional principles.

I have few objections to NJ Governor Christie and Alabama’s Senator Sessions but I’m also looking at

Jim DeMint

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee

Texas Governor Greg Abbott

Arkansas US Senator Tom Cotton

CA US Representative Duncan Hunter, Jr. (San Diego)

TN US Representative Marsha Blackburn, (7th District)

>>CC only drawback is he is a Cowboy fan.

That’s not his only drawback. I love Trump but do NOT like Christie. Here’s one reason:

I got a poll regards Christie and Trump.

Choices were Christie and Dr. Carson.

Carson elicited a maybe, and Christie a solid NO.

But we’ll see. It may very well be Lyin’ Ted.

Man o' man. Greg Abbot or Marsha Blackburn would be a dream team.

I even have wondered about Tulsi Gabbard.

Yes, it's a stretch, but Trump is a creative, think out of the box kind of guy.

And she would bring in a massive independent and conservative dem bloc.

Trump needs a female on the ticket to counter Hillary’s gender-card strategery, and would be much better served with one who was a governor of a western rural state like Alaska, for example.

“The same folks that have chastized Christie for the last 2 years now love him because he’s joined at the hip with Trump.”

We need to face it, there is a Trump movement, but it is not a conservative movement. A populist movement yes, but because it has no constitutional mooring it will be subverted into cronyism.

And I’ll drink some corn ethanol to that.

You gain nothing with Christie. Trump will already take New jersey. You’d only get another fat slob with a big mouth, then that would be two of them on the same ticket. No thanks.
