National Enquirer Parent Company Refutes Cruz – Trump Had Nothing to Do With Our Story
Gateway Pundit ^ | 3-26-16 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 03/26/2016 7:51:10 AM PDT by bigbob

Ted Cruz told reporters in Wisconsin the story was “all lies.” Cruz then went on to blame the article on Donald Trump and his “henchmen.” Cruz argued Roger Stone has been forwarding the article today on the internet. He thinks Trump campaign is behind this story. Cruz also said the publisher of the National Enquirer is a friend of Donald Trump’s.

But these rumors did not start with Donald Trump.

The rumors were started by the Rubio Campaign and anti-Trump GOP elites.

On Friday the parent company for National Enquirer refuted Ted Cruz.

“No one influences the reporting that the National Enquirer does other than our own reporters and editors,” according to the statement. “We stand by the integrity of our coverage and remain committed to our aggressive reporting on such an important topic. The National Enquirer, more than any other publication, has been unflinching in its reporting on the 2016 presidential candidates.”

Do you truly and honestly think Trump was behind this?

If you mean getting the allegations out, absolutely, at least with a wink and a nod.

In other breaking news, NYT, Washington ComPost, MSNBC, and all of the other lamestream media outlets deny that they are in the bag for democrats and report that they are actually very fair and balanced.

That must be true too, right? Surely no media outlet would lie about being biased!

There is no proof whatsoever that Trump was behind this ...there is mounting proof that some Rubio ops ,at the very least, knew about this some time ago ...

Re: Trump is one of the meanest, nastiest people ever to run for the office, at least on the Republican side. He actually seems to get off on insulting and belittling people.

SEE?!? You've got more in common with Trump than anybody thought!!!!

Then why do you keep going after me? At least I'm a conservative, unlike Trump. Again, what is it that you have against conservatism?

1.) "I have never been unfaithful to my wife Heidi"

2.) "I have never had an affair, a mistress or mistresses"

I want to see and hear Ted answer these questions put directly from a reporter, like Gary Hart had to.

I also want to see Ted file suit against the NE. Then he and these women will have to submit to depositions and deny the affairs under oath.

We will be waiting to hear phrases such as, "There is no relationship."

The Heidi Cruz meltdown at the side of the road happed in 2005, around the time Ted is now being accused of seeing hookers dressed like school girls and judges.

Heidi Cruz. Police report about her breakdown...

Here is the location on Google Maps where Heidi Cruz was found sitting at 2200 (10pm), Aug 22, 2005 with her head in her hands.

I believe EVERYONE in the senate has known about Cruz’s phoniness for a long time. There are no secrets in politics. And that’s why they hate him so much.

They probably jumped for joy when Cruz announced he was running for president thinking “Now, it’ll come out and we won’t be blamed for trying to take out a fellow senator whom we disagree with. And, he won’t spill the beans on us!”

I’m sure you’re correct. Then again, my mom would have been smart enough to not post after she had been up all day and then worked until 7:00 MT.

Is that all the bitchin’ you got, sparky?

Ted’s allies using naked pictures of Trump’s wife in a political ad was done intentionally to get a reaction out of Trump. Ted knew this scandal was coming out and his people are trying to frame it like it is all just a vicious attack from Trump. Ted has the sneakiest pros working for him and this has all been carefully choreographed over the past couple months

This is right out of The Godfather. Have Carlo beat up Sonny's sister, knowing that Sonny would react. Then hit Sonny when he responds.

"I didn't know until this day it was Barzini all along."

I don't think I'd have the stomach to run for political office.

When you dig into the twitter trail on this... way back... you learn that while the Rubio camp was peddling this story in South Carolina, the Jeb Bush campaign was shopping a Gay Rubio lead.

I'd like to know how the press can simultaneously promote "Trump has no real campaign, no oppo research, etc." and "Trump is a mastermind who knows everything and everyone and manipulates..."

Yeah it’s a dirty business ... you make a good point about Trump being incompetent but also in control of everything simultaneously ...

As both GOP candidates scramble to find incriminating “evidence” against the other—assuming that evidence of character, their wives and their sex lives is relevant and/or material or helpful to the determination of matters as we head into the home stretch—have you noticed one important thing that has been missing recently?

Cruz and Trump aren’t debating matters what a lot of us here consider to be important: the issues.
Frankly my dears, I don’t really care about either Messrs. Trump or Cruz. They are human means to an end.

As entertaining as all this soap opera “As The Stomach Churns”-stuff is ... WITH happened to discussing Trump’s stand on infanticide? What about Cruz and his VAT proposal? What happened to the discussion on border security? The 2nd? Jobs? Spending?
Revamping an oppressive, expensive, overweening federal government? None of that, no sir. So what have they and we been doing?

We’ve been reviewing the cover of Gentleman’s Quarterly and the pages of National Enquirer since the last primary contests. Our heroes been appealing to the lowest common denominator.
Sure, “Man is a political animal.’ But the candidates are supposed to be the best we have, and striving for a symbiosis with the people.

The fact that out of 300 million+ Americans the other side has an ethically debased, physically ill, completely irresponsible and morally bankrupt, sadistic old woman as their presumptive nominee—assuming she doesn’t go to prison—well .....
No conclusion.

“They ran this first. Cruz’s attempt to tie it to Trump is pathetic”

Of course it is. The Rubio team has been hinting at this for weeks. There is more to support that the Rubio team is behind it than Trump.

“This story come have come from anywhere- political enemies in Texas, enemies in congress and even the Kasich camp. Who knows? It still could be revenge from The Rubio campaign”

So true. We know for sure that the Rubio campaign was sitting on the story. Could even be the GOPe’s way of denying Cruz the President or VP slot in case of a brokered convention.
