The Dirty Dozen - Meet The Republicans That Will Vote For Hillary
Zero Hedge ^ | 03/25/2016 | Tyler Durden

Members of the GOP foreign policy establishment are open to supporting Hillary Clinton for president if that’s what it takes to prevent Donald Trump from becoming commander in chief. As The Hill reports, a number of prominent Republicans who signed a scathing open letter denouncing Trump said they aren’t wavering from their opposition to him..."Donald Trump is not a Republican. ... He is a caricature of classless wealth. ... He is a caricature of the ugly American."

“What’s happening is you have a lot of people who are desperate to get anybody in there other than Trump. ... People are going to go for Cruz, because at the end of the day they think he’s considerably less bad than Trump,” said Eliot A. Cohen, a former adviser to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) who also served in the George W. Bush administration.

Cohen, along with Bryan McGrath, organized an open letter opposing Trump that was signed by more than 120 members of the Republican foreign policy establishment. The letter declared that Trump is unfit to be president because his views of American power are “wildly inconsistent and unmoored in principle.” The Hill contacted 13 of the people on the letter and heard back from all but two of them...

“Donald Trump is not a Republican. ... He is a caricature of classless wealth. ... He is a caricature of the ugly American,” said McGrath, the deputy director at the Center for American Seapower at the Hudson Institute who is now working with the Cruz campaign.......... snip

It’s uniparty and has nothing to do with traditional beliefs.

You have been going to the county fair for 30 years spending your money on the rigged ring toss game and losing. When are you going to realize you are the sucker?

[Donald] Trump shouldn't be let within a thousand miles of the White House.

Now that's quintessentially un-American!

Fortunately you are not the arbiter of who gets let "within a thousand miles of the White House".

That's for the People to decide, and that's as it should be.

Whether the People make a bad choice or not is infinitely preferable to your apparent elitist desire to have it decided for them...

Good post and timely. This week was all about foreign policy “experts” telling us the disaster to come. The Saudi’s pay thousands of retired American “experts” 250k per year. This week they made them earn their money with the threat of being cut off. You can almost see the date this was announced by the press and the article you linked to. These neocons are happy to switch sides for the cash flow. Traitors. We’ve been suckered.

Well, there really are more of us than them. Alas, so long as people don't believe everything they hear on the radio or see on television.

But yeah, I suspect they are working for Hillary and that they are trying to destroy both Cruz and Trump.

Clever, just let Cruz and Trump do the work.

So it’s OK, WE hold our nose but not you.

Eff ‘em.

Time to put the RINO party to pasture.

We need representation that knows what their fiduciary responsibility to the people of this country and its Constitution.

That’s not the GOP.

Bingo. Members of the GOP foreign policy establishment = scumbag neocons returning home to the interventionist Democrats. The difference is the GOP wages war in self interest alone. The Democrats of old and the neocons believe in some world changing program - just like the Marxists - but for what they see as democratic globalism.

You have been going to the county fair for 30 years spending your money on the rigged ring toss game and losing. When are you going to realize you are the sucker?

And you do not think for one minute that a vote for Trump is not a rigged ring toss game?

In America there is one thing for certain, all presidential races are rigged and not what they seem. Smoke and mirrors, slight of hand that will not ever fix what is broken and only prolong the demise.

Now who is the sucker for believing Trump is the messiah, the fix all _resident?

Donald Trump is like Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack, crashing the GOP country club. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch.

You, if you believe your own prattle about Trump supporters.

It's never been about fixing everything. That's what you guys insist on before you'll give your support to Trump.

For us it's always been about taking power away from the "establishment." You can't fix anything until you boot out the people who are more concerned with imposing their legislative agenda than the consent of the governed.

I do not know about that.

The way some of the Trump supporters go on and on about him you would think he is going to make the desert green again. Just saying.

There is no candidate 100%, none, zip. And even if there was it is not going to fix what is broke in DC or this country

Nobody cares what you and others think.

If Trump is denied the nomination I’m staying home.

It ain't gonna get fixed if it's still working for the people making their living off it.

Donald Trump is a scumbag; however Hillary Clinton is a gazillion times WORSE!!!! The ONLY person worse than Hillary Clinton would be Barack Obama. I will hold my nose and vote for Donald Trump. Under no circumstances whatsoever will I vote for Hillary Clinton. Well if the choice were between Barack Obama and Hillary, I would vote for Hillary.

Competence has nothing to do with it.

The mask is finally off these people. They are supporting Hillary Clinton because they are big-government globalists who have been bought by the same foreign interests that have been funneling money to the Clinton Foundation for years.

These types make e violently ill. Treasonous rats. 0bama hadn’t managed so much as a lemonade stand, let alone foreign policy. How did that work out? His far left vision has left the M.E. in shambles, Communism is great and he can’t call Islamic terrorism for what it is. where were these oh so concientious voices back then? Trump grasps that the country has gone around the bend. He’s on the right track. for those who’d say they’d vote for Hillary after what she’s done the last 8 years are dead to me.

Not to mention the others that work to hope Trump's chances can be "spoiled" which will make a Hillary presidency more likely.

We have folks here who proudly claim "Cruz or Lose" even when it is pretty obvious he is as long a shot as Kasich and Rubio. The we have Cruz hoping the GOPe is being honest about him being their last chance to save themselves (not a very strong endorsement for conservatives) when they really feel that it's "Anybody but Trump or Cruz - or lose on purpose to teach the People a lesson for trying to upset the apple cart".
