The National Enquirer just dropped a bombshell on the Cruz campaign and the internet exploded overnight. Reports claim investigators found Ted Cruz allegedly had an affair with five different women. UPDATE #1: Ted Cruz Denies Affair. UPDATE #2: Trump Responds.
According to the Enquirer:
Private detectives are digging into at least five affairs Ted Cruz supposedly had, claimed a Washington insider. The leaked details are an attempt to destroy whats left of his White House campaign! The ENQUIRER reports that Cruzs claimed mistresses include a foxy political consultant and a high-placed D.C. attorney!
The publication did not name names and only printed pixelated photos. Internet users on Twitter, Reddit and 4chan quickly went to work to determine the identity of all five women while using the hashtag #CruzSexScandal.
8 things you need to know about Ted Cruz's sex scandal:
1. The National Enquirer Was Right About John Edwards, Tiger Woods and Jesse Jackson...

If Cruz had any principles he would retire from the race, and let America get back to electing a President.
What I’m saying is that they wouldn’t print something so potentially libelous like that without having at least some credible evidence to back it up. They wouldn’t be in business if they were inclined to making mistakes such as that.
I at no time said Cruz was guilty of what the Enquirer had charged him with.
In our exchange you trash Trump for being utterly despicable, even though he has nothing to do with this story.
When I call you on this, you respond with...
“There you go...”
Why shouldn’t I call you on that?
I don’t trash Cruz, you do Trash Trump, and I’m the bad guy.
Seriously?
9. I need to know WHYYYYYY these women climbed into closets with Ted Cruz!!!!!
Let me try to clarify my post.
1. I have no idea if the allegations against Senator Cruz are true or false but logic would dictate that they are one or the other.
2. In contrast to general supporters of Mr. Trump or others who might endorse or advocate for him, Ms Pierson holds the title of official national spokesperson for his campaign. By virtue of her position, her credibility is tied directly to that of the candidate. She is not some shrinking violet but rather is a forceful and articulate spokesperson.
3. Mr. Trump has made lying a major issue of creditability by his repeated reference to “Lying Ted” and description of Senator Cruz as “the big liar and a nasty person”.
4. When the story contains the allegation that Ms. Pierson had an affair with Senator Cruz and she clearly, publicly and unequivocally states that she did not, there are only two possibilities. Either she is telling the truth or she is lying.
Admittedly, this has been a long winded way of explaining what I see as an ironic situation facing Mr. Trump. Given his very forceful opposition to lying, if he supports his very effective spokesperson, he is also supporting his opponents position that the charges are false. If he believes his opponent is guilty, yet continues to support Ms Pierson, he is not only showing a willingness to have a liar speak for him, he is also undermining his creditability on the criticism of Senator Cruz for not taking decisive action against his employee in the Dr. Carson affair. If he fires her, he not only gives up a very effective spokesperson but acknowledges that he made a mistake in hiring a flawed individual, i.e. a liar. I have no idea what Mr. Trump will do, if anything. I am curious however.
What was his stated ambition in college? Ruler of the world or PORN STAR as I recall.
10. Trump had Nada, Zip to do with this trash talk. This is all on the blog pimps and perhaps on Cruz himself.
Excellent assessment/conjecture. Very interesting... :-)
I been doing this all day.
So far I detected none of my comments deleted, except for on the sleazy NE threads that themselves were deleted.
This is Trumps game.
Throw crap out there that with no evidence for then crows later how the only important thing is he won.
The irony. Ted is Cruzified on Good Friday.
Good one.
This answers itself
This thread is not about Palin. Your attempt to deflect is obvious.
> he [DT] is also supporting his opponents position that the charges are false.
I would say he could only possibly support that position regarding one out of five of the charges. I’d guess he asked Ms Pierson and believes what she says, unless proven otherwise, at which point I’d guess she’d get the ‘you’re fired’ treatment. But that still leaves four charges that, from DT’s perspective, could remain as valid possibilities. I am not sure how DT could know for certain either way. It’s basically none of DT’s business.
Trump has made it very clear early in the campaign that if he is attacked, he will respond 10 times harder. Cruz doesn’t get it. Poor judgement.
Its about NE’s story and if we can believe them
It was a gut punch due to the implications and manner in which it was broadcast.
Excellent observations and assessment. Thanks.
So you are saying that they had proof about Sarah Palin?
