The kind of stuff that happens around elections. One needs thick skin.

I always thought the rule of decent men is to attack the other man, but leave their wives and children alone.

My understanding is that politicians have little recourse to libel laws. Something would have to be particularly egregious before they could achieve any sort of success in court. Private individuals have far more ability to sue than do public personalities.

Maybe so, but don't you think he'd at least be threatening one? ;)

There is no example in that link of Ted Cruz referring to Melania as a "slut." All usages of the "slut" word are from the reporter writing the story.

Your "proof" does not prove what you asserted.

Actually it is more likely then not since the words and phrases are the exact same. Thats all thats needed. This is not a high burden of proof. need only show its probably true and its more then that.

When combined with Cruz’s other behavior issues this campaign it shows a pattern and practice of sleazy politics and blaming others. After a few times even the staunchest Cruz supporter, if honest is going to question his actions where hes doing the Sgt Schultz impersonation over and over and over.

I read the article, still waiting for the quote where Cruz called Trumps wife a slut...

Absolutely. Anything truthful about any potential candidate or wife, should be on the table, then let the voters decide.

Yea Cruz likes to parse things like a lawyer..... just like Bill Clinton did

do we see a hypocritical pattern in Cruz and his supporters?

Obama, let prove he was not born in the US and therefore not eligible to be president

But Cruz not born in the US is eligible to be president

PAC run attack a saying Vote Cruz ...but Cruz is not responsible

National Enquirer runs an article attacking Cruz... and per Cruz ... Trump is responsible

Cruz is a tap dancing parsing lawyer like Bill Clinton

At least that pic is one Trump only re tweeted and didn’t officially pay to have advertised. Also at least it doesn’t day vote for Trump or anything on it like the pic of Melania had. I don’t think it’s that bad to be honest, Cruz over reacted, he should have just blown it off and disregarded it since it wasn’t officially released into the media advertising circulation.

Everyone in media and politics knows how this stuff works. There is no point in threatening when everyone knows you can't back it up.

Trying to threaten would just make you look weak.

Its context and you know it.

Oh, I got the context. But considering that Donald is married to a gorgeous model who posed naked, it is an understandable (though weak, IMO) "attack". Whining that it's "dirty" or "not fair" just makes all of you look like a bunch of wussies. I think Donald should have said "I'll be proud to have Melania at my side in the White House. Ted Cruz is just jealous". It wasn't worth whining about IMO. You guys are making it sound like Cruz raped her.

Trump takes responsibility for what he says.

That's funny!

I have not seen a pattern and practice of sleazy politics coming from Cruz. I have seen various incidents characterized that way by his opponents, but when I looked at the actual facts, their assertions were not borne out.

Unfortunately there eventually develops a "herd mentality" where people simply assume something to be true because so many people keep saying it is.

And you are alleging that Cruz payed to have the Melania photo advertised? I do not believe this. Nor should you.

I don’t think it’s that bad to be honest, Cruz over reacted, he should have just blown it off and disregarded it since it wasn’t officially released into the media advertising circulation.

The attack on Melania was a third party attack, and one which I don't believe Cruz condoned and in fact I read that he condemned it.

The tweet attack on Cruz's wife came directly from Donald Trump. Trump is the Candidate. Candidates should not be attacking other Candidates wives or children.

Huh? Cruz can't back up the allegation that Trump was behind the story either, so why would that stop him?

Besides, Cruz didn't deny the allegations. As someone wrote on another board, calling them "garbage" is lawyer-speak for "I did it, but I'm trying to look like I didn't, and don't want to get in trouble later for lying if more proof comes out."

Trying to threaten would just make you look weak.

Not if you know the story is false. Blaming another candidate for the story makes you look far weaker. ;)

What is “super PAC Make America Awesome”? What connection can a super PAC have with any candidate?

Do you know where that picture was taken? Not published, where was the photo shoot held?

The whole thing is from a PAC over which he has no control and it is pure, unfiltered Barabara Streisand! As is the mistress BS!
