The fascists are the people in power now. Isn't it crazy how many Americans refuse to see that now. I guess it just goes with the times we are living in where people see evil as good and good as evil.

Thanks for the civics lesson. When I learned that in 9th grade, it lacked the tone of cynicism.

I think you have it a little backward. The founding fathers formed the government the way they did to protect the people from the government, not the government from the people.

The author of the commentary you posted is Armstrong Williams. Mr. Williams is a man, as far as I know.

If Trump is close to the 1237 and CruzGopE is perceived as flipping delegates and cheating, 10 - 20 % of normal Republican votes would be lost; there would be a wave election for the Democrats and not only the Presidency, but the House, Senate, and Supreme Court would be gone for the foreseeable future. The First and Second Amendments cases would be reheard and decided in a liberal fashion. This is what Cruz would bring if he is perceived as stealing the nomination at a brokered convention. Cruz would have to win 90% of the delegates outright, and fairly defeat Trump, to be acceptable as a nominee.
The obvious solution in that scenario is a Trump/Cruz ticket. I don't know if they have it in them though. Maybe their wives do.

He would not even commit to a common position endorsed by all the other candidates which he would advocate that the putative capital of Israel be moved from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem.
Obviously Armstron has not been paying attention.

Most likely.
...and if he (or any candidate) doesn’t make the 1237, it’s less and less arguable that he ‘represents the will of the people’. Which applies to Cruz and Kasich, et al.

Just the other day I saw some Trump brown shirts walking around bullying people and raiding other peoples’ rallies.

Cruz Gaming the Primary ...
Cruz Gains Delegates In Key Convention Posts
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-gop/3413540/posts
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz may turn out to be the real winner of the Louisiana Republican primary. Despite losing the primary in early March by fewer than four percentage points and winning an equal number of pledged delegates, Cruz supporters scooped up five of Louisiana’s six positions on key committees intended to write the Republican National Convention’s rules and platform, The Wall Street Journal reports. Only one Trump supporter managed to receive an appointment to a senior level delegate post... [snip]

But wait, rather than ban muslims, Cruz has a really great idea:
Cruz for police to patrol Muslim neighborhoods
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3412916/posts
He will send Frank Drebbin out on patrol. At least, that is what this ‘Barney Fife’ idea would feel like to the officers.
I can see their checklist now:
“Who is holding bombs?”
“Do NOT racially profile.”
“Tee-shirts celebrating terrorism are freedom of speech. Ignore.”
“Do you see any machine guns?”
... etc ...

No, we DO know what we’re getting with Trump. According to his own words, he salivates about potential deals he will make with Democrats such as Reid and Pelosi.
