You are correct but it seems to work both ways. I agree about Trump but if Cruz turns off everyone EXEPT ideological conservatives, Hillary also wins. It seems that the PACs need to back off and let Cruz speak for himself. I have already seen the Bush brothers (Neal and Jeb!) putting words into his mouth that he will have to defend. When a candidate is on defense, he isn’t winning.
