Jeb Bush's endorsement of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz Wednesday morning signaled a growing inclination in the oft-touted Republican establishment: that even Cruz would be better for the party than Donald Trump.
Leaders in the GOP have long and openly mused that neither of the primary frontrunners fits the bill of an ideal Republican presidential candidate, but the race has failed to yield any alternatives.
"It's a signal that there's only a plan A and a plan B," said Mark Jones, a political scientist at Rice University's Baker Institute. "There is no plan C."

Trump would take away the family goodies.
Kiss of death?
The GOPee are fumblers.
Teddy is official the GOPe, Rino, Anti-Establishment’s Establishment’s candidate.
Cruz would be better for the Establishment, not for the party.
The “warm kiss” of death.
Cruz’s gracious acceptance of the endorsement is nauseating.
Trump and Cruz are no longer “splitting” the anti-establishment vote.
Trump is the only anti-establishment vote left.

How long until the first suggestion on this thread that Cruz has now moved to the “GOPe” instead of vice-versa? Despite no change in position, and no apology to McConnell.
My guess is before the 50th comment, we’ll get a “See, Cruz was GOPe all along!111!!1!!”
Are we going to take the lamestream media position that presidential candidates are directly in agreement with all endorsers on all policies? If so, just wait until the general election when the Hillary! brigades start the guilt-by-association for whoever the R nominee is.
Many here will assert that the endorsement means nothing. We will be assured that Ted will kick the establishment to the curb as soon as he ascends to Mount Olympus (I mean the White House). Is there a possibility that when Ted fulfills his dad’s prophecy of Ted bringing home the spoils of war to the priests, that the priests are all high ranking members of the GOPe and their cronies?
Karl Rove’s diabolical plan all along. Cruz is the “closet” Manchurian candidate. I am ashamed I was fooled again. At least I voted for Trump in the Florida primary. Knew Teddie wouldn’t win Florida. Jebbie’s not the gov any more. Establishment can’t diddle as much with the vote in Florida. Only in select counties.
¡Yeb!’s endorsement should give a clue to those who still cling to the illusion that Teb! is on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.
Teb! has joined the Cartel that he once railed against.
He has jumped on board the Cheap Labor Express.
The “stop Trump” effort is really an effort to stop the citizens from keeping their country.
Causes one to wonder what Cruz is selling out the voters for to get the establishment endorsements.
The Kiss of Death
“Are we going to take the lamestream media position that presidential candidates are directly in agreement with all endorsers on all policies?”
No. But it says quite a bit about a candidate who is endorsed by GOPe loser Mitt Romney, GOPe loser John McCain, GOPe loser Jeb Bush, GOPe loser Lindsey Graham, GOPe loser Carly Fiorina, GOPe shill Bill Kristal, GOPe shill George Will, GOPe shill Nicki Haley, et. al.
I voted Trump.
But I’m disturbed by the establishment embrace of Cruz. Not bc I distrust Cruz...but bc I distrust the establishment and what’s going to happen here is that when Cruz either loses to Trump, or, miraculously gets the nomination and gets crushed by hilary...then, they are going to start saying what we have said since 1992. “Stop nominating losers”. But since they are the establishment, this will set conservatives way back.
The point being, there’s no way that the establishment meddling with Cruz is going to end well for conservatives....

“Is there a possibility that when Ted fulfills his dads prophecy of Ted bringing home the spoils of war to the priests, that the priests are all high ranking members of the GOPe and their cronies?”
It has to be there somewhere in the Kings and Priests clause of the Constitution.
