Donald Trump on Wednesday kept up his attack against Ted Cruz by claiming the Texas senator is behind a recent ad showing Trump's wife Melania in the nude.
Trump first accused Cruz on Tuesday of circulating a provocative image of Melania from a January 2000 photoshoot with GQ Magazine. In the accusation posted to Trump's Twitter account, the brash businessman also said he would "spill the beans" on Cruz's wife, Heidi.
But the Texas senator said he had "nothing to do" with the ad after the anti-Trump Make America Awesome PAC took credit for it.
On Wednesday, Trump slammed "Lyin' Ted Cruz" over his repeated assurance that he took no part in the development or circulation of the ad.
Cruz hit back at Trump Wednesday morning hours before the billionaire's latest tweet during an interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo.
"It reveals a lot about class, that Donald's instinct is to try to attack my wife and sully her," he said.

The point is Cruz is smearing his wife. If prompted the same thing you would be all over him. Trump could put the police report about Heidi Cruz up and say the same thing why it’s public record
No double standard at all. Produce the ad if you think is will help Trump.
What smear? Unless Trump or you are ashamed of the pics?
Which one?
He’s had so many and cheated on them all.
True. The slut shaming ad in the Cruz camp hurt Cruz and company. Wait until the results of the north eastern states come in. Cruz going to be sorry for that.
Now we know why Kossack is staying...and Marco has not endorsed.
Saving a little surprise for the Donald at the convention after all.
The rest of this stuff is just fun to watch...
Trump/Cruz or Cruz/Rubio....flip a delegate coin......
She is a mother of a 9 year old boy now... and it makes a difference. He will know/understand all of this about his mom, but could we let him grow up a little first? Reminds me of an interview I saw of Donna Summer some time ago talking about her Love To Love You Baby song. She was proud of it but didn’t want her daughters to hear it or know her like that until they were grown up. I guess I just fail to understand why that can’t be respected/ understood when there is a child in the house! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPXizlnS7go
Thank God for /s...
I believe it happened 16 YEARS AGO before she had ever met Trump or that Trump even considered running for President.
"He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."
Cruz should disavow super PACs.
Of course he dismissed it.
Trump and his dishonest supporters can't use it as a club in their ongoing character assassination if they simply acknowledge the truth and dismiss it.
Yeah, a reputation that goes waaaaaay back to the instant Cruz said something remotely negative about Trump.
Then Trump and his jackals attacked.
“When you attack Cruzs record, you just point out Trumps lack of one.”
BINGQ!!!
Lord help America.
Trump knows Cruz didn't do it.
Makes a good bludgeon for his low information supporters, though.
Does it bother anyone (Trump fans) that all Trump’s males friends have seen his wife nude, much less his young son will be sharing his mom’s photo with his teen friends very soon?
NO - he disavowed them because they are corrupt. One collected 6 million and something like 200K went to the candidate. All the rest was sucked up by those who ran the PAC. He sent legal letters of cease and desist letters to all that were using his name. People need to pay attention to what Trump actually said about it instead of speculating and guessing.
“Cruz wont even denounce the ad. That tells you all you need to know.”
I know. He’s the most disappointing politician I’ve seen, and that’s quite a distinction.
The group who did that ad is run by a woman who had previously worked for Rick Perry and then Fiorina, both of whom have endorsed Cruz. The ad itself says to vote for Cruz. I haven’t heard Cruz denounce the gutter politics involved in this ad, just Trump’s response.
