Donald Trump on Wednesday kept up his attack against Ted Cruz by claiming the Texas senator is behind a recent ad showing Trump's wife Melania in the nude.
Trump first accused Cruz on Tuesday of circulating a provocative image of Melania from a January 2000 photoshoot with GQ Magazine. In the accusation posted to Trump's Twitter account, the brash businessman also said he would "spill the beans" on Cruz's wife, Heidi.
But the Texas senator said he had "nothing to do" with the ad after the anti-Trump Make America Awesome PAC took credit for it.
On Wednesday, Trump slammed "Lyin' Ted Cruz" over his repeated assurance that he took no part in the development or circulation of the ad.
Cruz hit back at Trump Wednesday morning hours before the billionaire's latest tweet during an interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo.
"It reveals a lot about class, that Donald's instinct is to try to attack my wife and sully her," he said.

Do you mean Trump attacking Cruz’s wife?
Cruz lies. A lot. Daily. So yeah Trump and anyone with a brain doesn’t believe him when he denies something. Sure he hides behind his staff and others like a weasel, but it’s him.
Humm? I guess dirty is in the eye of the beholder.
Cruz is also a scum-sucking lawyer. It takes two seconds to disavow an ad. You’re not allowed to coordinate with a super PAC, but you can distance yourself from their message publicly. Ted knows this.
Yep. I’ll have his back when he’s attacked unfairly, but this is a ridiculous charge. He’s not that stupid, is he?
The only Sleazeball that attacked another man’s wife, was Teddy Boy.
Or maybe Cruz should not be distributing pornographic images to children?
Hmmmm
.
Wrong. As usual, Trump presumes that his lemming-like followers are fools. And they’re not disappointing him.
Well, he has said he loves the poorly educated:)
Perhaps Trump’s foreign-born gold digger of a wife should keep her clothes on.
I haven’t seen them yet. She looks plenty good with clothes on thank you. Not that it matters.
Heidi's depression episode isn't a published event, and the Cruz family is within their right to keep their medical info private, but if you think that is an effective campaign ad, go for it. See how it works out for Trump
I'm wondering what percentage of delegates that Cruz has from early primaries, before the mask came off, think about Cruz now. Yesterday, AZ voters sure did say what they thought.
Like a lot of things about this campaign, I can’t decide to hold my nose and look away or make popcorn.
I do, however, think Cruz’s response in this episode (Cruz: “says a lot about class...”) betrays a blind spot in the Texas senator’s field of perception. Saying Trump doesn’t have class reinforces Trump’s base. They don’t “have class” either by the political establishment’s standards, but they like the idea that their guy has more money than the GOP Establishment and has “no class”.
One of my long-standing criticisms of the GOP is they can spout of their principles all day long, but they completely fail to draw any connection between their principles and a reasonable, enjoyable standard of living. They don’t (or can’t) even perform the much simpler task of connecting the dots between living conditions in Detroit, Baltimore, Cleveland and Flint and the Democrats.
Trump does this better than most, with or without “class”. You see him speak, you look at the people who are a little rough around the edges in his audiences and they get excited about rebuilding the country, and by extension, their lives.
Cruz has all the right hole punches in his “Buy 10, Get One Free” Subway card, and he’s at the counter trying to cash it in, but that’s exactly his problem...Trump’s got ex-wives, blended family, bankruptcies, and so do an increasing number of Americans.
Breath Donald.
Just Breath Donald.
Like the site. Very good.
Cruz is so pathetic. Cant wait until Trump destroys the slimy, lying Crud.
‘A real man would take responsibility, have the ads pulled, and apologize.’
Cruz won’t even denounce the ad. That tells you all you need to know.
