Donald Trump would lead either Ted Cruz or John Kasich in a two-way race, according to the results of a Quinnipiac University national poll released Wednesday. Asked whom they would like to win the GOP nomination, 43 percent of the 652 Republicans surveyed said they wanted Trump to emerge as the party's choice in Cleveland, followed by 29 percent for Cruz and just 16 percent for Kasich, with 9 percent undecided.
quinnipiac poll sucks. the conspiracy to stop ted cruz is behind this. this just shows their desperation.

Now that all the Bushies are behind CRUZY, Trump has to point that CRUZY is a inside establishment hack, always has been, always will be.
He needs to hammer this at every rally and add. The proof is in the pudding Donald. The scum has floated to the top and you have all the ammo you need to DESTROY the smug little shyster.
Brilliant!
This poll utterly failed to ask the head-to-head question, and is therefore, worth nothing as far as answering that question. It may be irrelevant anyway since it looks like Kasich wants to stick around long enough to make certain that Trump gets his first ballot nomination.
Bush/Cruz 2016.
Well, I guess the question was asked! Trump does win with the exception of the 12% undecided all breaking for Cruz, which statistically speaking is unlikely. Thank you.
For every mush middle vote Cruz picks up he loses one conservative voter to Trump. Nasty, nasty man. Nobody likes him and he will be perpetually stuck in the 20’s because he simply can’t seal the deal himself.
I’m afraid Cruz was knocked out yesterday with his statement implying that we should continue accepting Muslim immigrants, and then harass the hell out of them with the local cops.
Hillary’s statements were worse.
ISIS elected Trump yesterday.
That's simply an assinine challenge. Cruz is eating Trump's dust. The only person who could benefit from a head to head debate would be the guy who's behind. That's Cruz. Why would Trump do anything to help Ted?
You mean, “GOPe/Cruz 2016”
The poll did ask the head to head question and Trump beat Cruz 46-37.
There have been 10, 11 12? debates thus far? Admittedly, the first several were full stages, however, the last three or four that have happened since voting began, Ted has not fared well and the votes indicated as much.
Oh, because Trump said that he would? Meaningless bilge from Trump, as always.
I’m more interested in how Trump fares against Shrillary or Col. Sanders.
12% undecided though. Assuming they all went for Cruz that would be 49%-47% Cruz...not going to happen, though. If anything as Trump creeps towards the nom and as a result of BLM protests and Brussels, Trump’s #s go up. People want simplicity and clarity when it comes to who’s going to protect the interests of the country. Not lawyer speak.
I know, my main point was that Trump is not afraid to go head to head with Ted and that Ted is pretty dumb sometimes for supposedly being such a brilliant debater. That’s is the only example of it. The New York values double down by Ted was just as dumb.
We are not electing a debate champion, we are electing a president.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. You guys are really getting boring the way you keep banging the same drum. But keep banging it if you want to. Whatever makes you happy.
Nice! lol
