At a campaign stop in Washington state Monday on behalf of his wife, Clinton highlighted the former secretary of state as a change-maker but acknowledged there may be a few reasons people wouldnt support her. He added, however, that voters should support her if you believe weve finally come to the point where we can put the awful legacy of the last eight years behind us and the seven years before that,

Bill does not want her to winI've been saying that for years. I must have dozens of posts on FR, going back to 2007, saying Bill Clinton wants to be the only President Clinton in history and will sabotage her campaign one way or the other.
The reason?
The main reason being the female President Clinton will eclipse the male President Clinton in the history books for that fact alone.
The secondary reason being Bill's contempt for her.

When in doubt tell the truth. It will confound your enemies and astound your friends.- Mark Twain
Slick Willy tried it and his friends are in shock.
Ahhh, that terrible legacy of the last eight years, they say that as people get closer to that final exit from this mortal coil, that they begin telling the truth, even if they would prefer to cling to their previous lies.
Predictions:
1.) Slick Willy keels over from either natural or (*ahem) "unnatural" causes.
2.) Obama issues "full and complete pardon" to Hillary Rotten Criminal in the wake of the death of her husband, in an Oval Office address, Barky says "Mrs. Clinton and her family have suffered enough."
3.) HRC goes on to be the 'RAT nominee, relying on a mass sympathy vote, but STILL loses to Donald Trump.

How can you issue a pardon for which no crime has been charged?
To: BipolarBob
President Ford issued a pardon for Richard Nixon and Nixon had not been charged at all. There is precedent for it.

I was watching the excellent HBO series ‘Rome’ the other night.
The Roman ruling class played hardball politics to a degree that we think we are immune from. Killing off their rivals, even within the family, if they perceived a threat.
Maybe we shouldn’t dismiss the possibility that there are some among us who still play this kind of hardball.

Notice, the only time a liberal tells the truth, it’s either a “gaffe” or misunderstanding on the listener’s part.

The Dems controlled both houses 15 months before the 2008 financial collapse, and could have passed any law they wanted to prevent it. They controlled both houses for the first two years of O’s presidency, and did what they pleased.
I assume Bill Clinton knows this.

0bama can’t give Hillary a pardon. By accepting a pardon she would be admitting guilt. While the pardon would restore some rights, the conviction (by admission) would be on her record for life. The conviction would bar her from holding public office.

It prevents federal charges from ever being filed. “...As such, I pardon HRC for any federal crimes that she did commit, or may have committed, up until January 20, 2017.”

The accepting of a pardon is an admission of guilt and thus a defacto conviction. The pardon restores rights but not all, and the “conviction” would have to be listed on all documents asking for such.

GOP has not been in charge the last eight years. Democrats controlled Congress from 2007 to 2011. Senate went GOP in January of 2015
Even when the GOPe won the House and Senate, the Democrats remained in charge. Thus the advent of Donald J. Trump.

After President Obama was elected, Republicans made it their number one goal to block him at every turn. That unprecedented obstruction these last eight years is their legacy... Obstructed what?
Obamacare?
The Iran deal?
Trade authority?
Spending limits?
SCOTUS nominees?
Cabinet nominees?

That's very interesting. I've been unable to find any reference to Richard Nixon being considered 'convicted' post-pardon by Ford, is Nixon's history incorrect or did it get doctored up?
