Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump reacted to the apparent terrorist attack that resulted in at least 28 dead and 130 injured in Brussels earlier in the day.
Trump made the case to close the U.S. borders until “we figure out what is going on.”

I don’t see why there is an issue with closing your borders to ALL IMMIGRATION, FOR AN INDEFINITE PERIOD OF TIME.
What is the big deal about doing this? Nobody is going to kill anyone - they just have to stay in whatever country they are in.
All immigration should be stopped until 1) the current bunch of immigrants is assimilated, 2) the illegals in the country have been dealt with, 3) the (real) unemployment rate is at an acceptable level.
Since when does a country have to be a dumping ground for every third-world hell-hole on the face of the earth?

OK, but what, exactly, does Trump mean when he says, “until we figure out what is going on”? Uhh, we know exactly what is going on. Muslim extremists are trying to kill as many Westerners and Christians as they can, as fast as they can. They are being let in, en masse, by “open border” policies, particularly in Europe. They are also proselytizing and gaining new converts, who then travel to terrorist training grounds in the Middle East, later to return to their Western origins and engage in yet more attacks.
What needs to be done is to wipe them out on the ground in Syria, Iraq, and other staging and training areas, so much so that their “true believers” spread around the world will find themselves without any appreciable support. Cruz has indeed called for doing exactly this. But, Cruz couldn’t possibly right./s
