UT - 40 delegates (Proportional, WTA > 50%)

Cruz should have done far better than 22% in AZ.
This is exactly why there never will be a contested convention if Trump comes up a few delegates short. There simply is no viable candidate other than Trump. Cruz has been drubbed across the fruited plains by Donald J. Trump. The GOPe is never going to blow up the party for a sure loser like Ted Cruz. This race is over. Trump has won.
You know I once attended a church and a friend from there called me one day and said, "The problem with this church is it's not loving anymore."

If you reread YOUR last 25 posts you might have a better idea of why it's not a very nice place (which, by the way, I totally disagree with). God bless.

I want to echo your points said to Mom MD. I usually just lurk and read but tonight I was ready to YELL-PEOPLE GROW UP! I was a Cruz guy in the beginning but now I’m for Trump. I don’t have to explain and I’m not going to cajole and I’m not going to act like a an idiot. Yes, we need to give out opinions but we mainly need to listen. Thank you two for being conscious.

Simply put, because the Bush people own the RNC in that their people “control” the RNC. They hold all the power positions, so the staff are theirs and they call the shots.
Reince Preibus is theirs.
Likewise, that Senate branch is controlled by Mitch McConnell and in the House, it’s controlled by Paul Ryan. All very cozy.

I am a Cruz supporter and I think Trump will lose big in November. But if Trump gets 1237 delegates he is the winner. If the GOP screws Trump out of the nomination, and gives it to anyone else, including Cruz, I walk.
If Trump end up significantly short, like 100 or so, I have no problem with Cruz, but no one else. They do some GOPe I walk.
Anything Trump might say about Heidi will be blown up by the media, saying he is abusive to women, etc. He just doesn't need to do it.

And if the vote is held honestly, then I’ll accept the results.
The problem comes when the power brokers want to put the proverbial thumb on the scale, and we both know that they want to. I’m hoping that both Trump and Cruz are willing and able to tell them to go pound sand if it comes to that.
Or heck, even if it DOESN’T come to that. Because they need to get the boot.
