Cruz swipes Trump in AIPAC speech
The Washington Examiner ^ | 3/21/2016 | GABBY MORRONGIELLO

Ted Cruz on Monday mocked Donald Trump's grasp of history and promised not to be neutral in a negotiation between Israel and Palestinians, something Trump has said he would do if elected president.

At his speech before the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Cruz started by highlighting a mistake Trump made during his own speech just minutes earlier.

"Perhaps to the surprise of the previous speaker, Palestine has not existed since 1948," Cruz said, drawing mixed laughter and applause from the crowd.

The present does not occur in your mind and Cruz can’t study it.
////////////////
Cruz is like Ty Cobb. A great player playing the game everybody else is playing it, but at a very high level.

then comes along.....

Trump is like Babe Ruth, playing the game like no other, many times hitting more home runs than other entire teams combined.

Babe Ruth played in 10 World Series. Ty Cobb played in 3.

VIVA TRUMP

“Its not arrogance if you actually are smarter than the other candidates.”

Arrogance is arrogance no matter the reason. It’s pathetically hollow when displayed in an incompetent person, and it’s repulsive when displayed by a capable person. In both cases, arrogance is a symptom of insecurity and a poor sense of self-worth.

synonyms: conceit, pride, self-importance, egotism; pompousness, pomposity, imperiousness, hubris; immodesty; big-headedness; vainglory

antonyms: modesty

So you see, arrogance is an ugly quality in a putative human being, regardless of the reason or cause, and those who display it are shunned and disliked, as they well should be.

“but intellectually, by any measure, Cruz runs circles around Trump”

There are many different forms of intelligence, and while Cruz may have a raw IQ higher in some fashion or other, Cruz seems to lack common sense and certainly almost completely lacks wisdom.

I’ve seen an awful lot of “smart” people do REALLY stupid things that less “smart” people would consider doing.

“so I can vote in the primary and EFFECT who the nominees are”

that should be:

“so I can vote in the primary and AFFECT who the nominees are”

Which primaries are you refering [sic] to the open ones that dems are flooding over to choose our candidate for us?

The Republican voters are doing rather well "choosing our candidate for us" even when they vote all by themselves, such as when Donald Trump won Florida's winner-take-all closed Presidential primary, in which he beat both native son Marco Rubio as well as Ted Cruz, garnering all 99 GOP delegates...

I personally think they are all going to disappear and vote from the Dem nominee.

Yes, that's what all the naysayers opined back in 1980.

Instead, millions of Democrats voted for the GOP candidate, Ronald Reagan.

Something similar will happen again in 2016, should Donald Trump win the GOP nomination...

I don’t know about the debate championships.

But his record before the supreme court,

Medellin case win

Mojave dessert Cross Win

Texas Ten Commandments Win

Under God in the Pledge Win

DC VS. Heller Win

That's a very good record.

And that's exactly where Ted Cruz belongs: at the US Supreme Court, either arguing cases or even as a Supreme Court Justice where he won't be indebted to his rich fundraisers.

The Supreme Court is where Ted Cruz could do the most good.

Maybe President Trump will nominate Cruz to fill the current Supreme Court vacancy.

Because where Ted Cruz doesn't belong is in the White House as President...

Again, Cruz exercizes poor judgement. Every day, another chronic display of incompetence. Pathetic. And this clown wants to be President?

how do you substantiate your comment re their intelligence? You Libs think that because you say something that it is factually accurate. Regardless, what has Cruzz accomplished? Has he built anything? Has he run a business? Has he ever hired an employee? Does he have any accounting, finance, securities, economics experience or background?

No he doesn’t. He’s lost it. Doing the same failing thing repeatedly and expecting different results.

My late husband was the most intelligent person I have ever been around. As a high school student, he talked his school into offering physics and other higher education courses. He could fix anything and he and a friend built a large bass fishing boat when he wasn't at NASA. He was a ham radio operator and built his first rig before he was a teenager. He fixed anything around the house. My daughter and I have talked about his IQ and wondered just how high it was. We went to Houston a few years before his death. A friend had taken some classes with him. He said that one day a prof was going down the roll telling each how many classes each had missed and the grade. When he got to my husband the prof told him he had missed more classes than anyone else but it did not matter since he had the highest grade. He majored in physics. We miss him.

“Why are the Trumpsters so enraged that Cruz is so much more intelligent than Trump ?”

You underestimate Donald Trump at your peril! Yeah, Cruz is a slick lawya from Haaavaaad, but he comes across as an arrogant self-absorbed little prick, which is why he hasn’t accomplished squat as a Senator. Both he and Boobio were just trying to milk their Senate seats for a presidential bid, and it hasn’t worked. If we had a Republican Party that was worth a $hit, this would be over already and Trump and the Party could get on with winning the election. Hopefully, the few decent Republicans left ( like the bunch that met with trump today) will start to prevail within the party and drive a decision to coalesce around Trump and get on with it.

“I just can’t watch Cruz. The guy’s voice, mannerisms, his logic trail, it grates me something fierce.”

Both my wife and I reach for the mute button whenever Cruz comes on. He’s like fingernails on a blackboard to the both of us. The thought of having to listen to him for four years is unthinkable, it’s almost as bad as his politics, and his constant lying and badmouthing Trump.

Yes, even leaving the Trump part out of it, I don’t understand how folks can listen to him.

Thanks for the mention. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one.

See, I think Cruz should be in the white house, because he can interpret the Constitution, He can also find individuals to appoint who can interpret it as well.
