Mitt Romney took his willingness to support Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz one step further by recording robocalls for the Texas senator.
In the calls, first reported by The Daily Caller, Romney encourages voters in Arizona and Utah to support Cruz. A call targeting Arizona voters was released today and another call will begin ringing in Utah homes tomorrow. Both Utah and Arizona will hold nominating contests tomorrow.
“I’m calling to ask you to join me in supporting Ted Cruz for president this Tuesday in the Utah Republican caucuses. This is the time for Republicans across the spectrum to unite behind Ted,” Romney says in the call targeting Utah voters. "And at this point, a vote for John Kasich is a vote for Donald Trump.”
The calls follow a Facebook post released late last week in which Romney revealed he would be supporting Cruz in the Utah caucuses. Romney, the former Republican presidential nominee, has been a prominent face in the efforts by Republicans to stop Trump.

The GOPe is going to fund and try and assist whatever candidate they can...any candidate...to try and defeat Trump.
I support Cruz...but this Bravo sierra is beyond the ;pale.
Mitt Romney and the GOPe have absolutely NO INTEREST and NO DESIRE to see Ted Cruz win the nomination.
They are simply trying to keep Trump from it so that they can then come in and push off someone like Paul Ryan at the convention and thus superseded and overturn the will of the people.
They will throw Cruz to the curb the instant that they get the convention to a second ballot.
It is not going to work.
But what it is doing, better than any of us could have explained, is revealing for all of us to see just exactly what the GOPe is all about.
Most of us here have known for some time...but this is making it painfully obvious for all to see.
And I hope and pray that the people resoundingly reject and defeat their efforts.

Well, Romney has always had that little problem of talking out of both sides of his mouth...
Republicans are committing political suicide if amnesty gets enacted, that is, if there were an actual two party system.
Truth is, the government/establishment doesn't give a damn about it's citizens. It's cares about maintaining power as a true uniparty and cheap labor, both of which are accomplished with amnesty.
Admittedly, I no longer support Sen. Cruz for President. But, more importantly, I'm troubled by the pro-amnesty crowd getting behind Cruz, as I think it goes further than stopping Trump. I suspect it sends the message that Cruz might be a campaign Conservative on amnesty, while in actuality, he might be susceptible to signing off on amnesty legislation if CIC.

Romney is not calling to help Cruz to win the nomination. He is calling to help Trump lose. There is a big difference. Romney won’t support Cruz if Trump loses.

Does Romney not know that nobody liked him? Why would you want an endorsement from a loser candidate?
Now we see Cruz is allying himself with Soros, Mitt Romney, Lindsay Graham , etc. all the enemies of America and Americans when his words led many Americans to think he was for them. But his actions show Cruz is with the Gope.
Cruz is pure evil.
Any of you supporting Cruz that live in the United States you will have a lot economic hurt coming to you courtesy of Cruz and China with TPP , illegals etc.
It's ridiculous that many Cruz supporters would rather be a worshiper of this Canadian fraud than to save the USA they live in from falling into the abyss politicians have us close to falling into, and then have the Country they live in go down the tubes. You think you won't go with America when China wipes out manufacturing in the USA ? think again.
