Thousands of protesters gathered in front of one of Donald Trump’s signature Manhattan buildings Saturday to protest the GOP front-runner.
The protesters waved signs and played drums. They planned on marching toward Trump Tower, the Fifth Avenue skyscraper near Columbus Circle where Trump lives.
Some protesters at the event told 1010 WINS’ Samantha Liebman that they couldn’t believe Trump has come this far in the election, and that they believe his rhetoric is divisive and racist.
“We’re here because Donald Trump is the antithesis of what America stands for,” one Westchester man said.
“We gotta make sure we get out and vote and make sure our voices are heard,” another protester from Manhattan said.
One sign read “Love Trumps Hate.” Another read, “Will trade 1 Donald Trump for 25,000 refugees.”
There were some Trump supporters at the rally that were heckled, but the protest remained peaceful, Liebman reported.
The protest was organized by political group Cosmopolitan Antifascists.
“Trump’s policies threaten many of us in the Black, Latino, LGBTQIA+, Muslim, and other communities,” the group said in a Facebook post for the planned protest. “These policies and type of speech has no place in this country, and certainly does not have a place in the city that Trump grew his empire in–a city known as a melting pot and home for many of the same people Trump continues to wage war on.

So......they keep telling us that Hitlery or the other socialist would beat Trump by about a million percent in a general election. If that was true, they should all be out there supporting Trump.

Let me tell all FReepers something...one of the surest fire ways you know that Trump is right over the target and hitting it hard is all of these protests.
We all now what has been done to our country.
We all know that millions of Americans (both actual citizens and aliens) have been co-opted into a welfare-state, entitlement existence.
We all know that it has been done to buy votes and to weaken America.
What we better figure out is that in order to begin ending it, in order to bring sanity and responsibility back to America, we are going to have to cut those umbilical chords.
The progressive left, the socialists, and those in the GOPe and MSM abetting this think that it either cannot be done, or that it will cause massive social unrest to undo the monster they have created.
but we have to undo it.
Trump is talking bluntly about some of these things and undoing them...and the masses that have been mesmerized into that life style are starting to see he is serious...and so they are protesting,.
I tell you...this is something that ultimately is needed. it is something that the longer we let go, the more difficult it will be.
Now is the time to fix these problems...and the progressive left, DNC< and GOPe are angry and fighting it because it represents a threat to their hellish status quo.
The masses on welfare and luxuriating in entitlements hate it because it will mean and end to the free ride.
But if America is going to be strong again...it has to happen. I pray it can yet be done and have our nation survive on the other side of it.
I believe it can...but only if we hold the course nd are full of determination.
