Just a few steps from the White House, the latest secret gathering of Republicans seeking an answer to the question of who can still stop Donald Trump reached a demoralising answer for their party on Thursday night: Hillary Clinton.
A bleak mood has swept over the Grand Old Party in the past 24 hours as the multiple implications of Trumps latest victory in primary elections on Tuesday have slowly sunk in.
The first realisation came quickly, as Marco Rubios chastening defeat in his home state of Florida forced him to join Jeb Bush, Rand Paul and Chris Christie on the heap of discarded alternatives.
These once-promising candidates were meant to provide the answer to a problem that has dogged the party for a decade how to appeal to a US electorate that is growing less white and less traditionally conservative.

So let's see if I have this right...the wonkish GOP-E insiders switch parties and vote for the Hildabeast. The blue collar Reagan Dems switch parties and vote for The Donald....
We all vote Trump.
These idiots never ask, “Who Can Stop Hillary?”
Go pound sand, U.K. Guardian.
I must admit I voted for Cruzzzzzz’s Democrat opponent.....knew he didn’t have a chance in hell but made me feel better.......GO TRUMP!
Rather than STOP TRUMP, it seems that the goal should be to STOP HILLARY. These establishment republicans sicken me as they slice Trump knowing full well that the alternative is Hillary!!!!
Commit your will to the task ahead and don’t let them F with your mind.
GOPe elitists would rather lose and let Hillary become President than give up their elitist RINO ways. Screw ‘em.
This is the problem with the party. Theyd rather vote hillary.
Wich is why we will begin the purge of the party this november, and eventually remove every stinking, rino, goper, vichy republican, uniparty establishment hack, and every one of their cowardly enablers.
Indubitably.
The Uniparty can no longer maintain the illusion. Voting for designated loser Republicans is all well and good, but when a genuine candidate comes along, the Uniparty has to openly embrace socialism. They’ve taken off and nuked the concept of free elections from orbit. It was the only way to be sure.
This is better than TV wrestling meets the 3 Stooges..

Yes.
And based on how easily Ryan, Boehner, Mcconnel, John Roberts, and most others from the GOP go along with the Obama, palosi, Reid liberal machine, it should not be hard for any spineless Republican to cast a vote for Clinton
“We all vote Trump”
No we won’t.
They admit they were RINOs all along.
I Voted Early and Voted CRUZ.
WTF???? I don’t like Trump but I would sure vote for him against Hillary come hell or high water.
