If the Georgia statehouse caves to the pressure, then they might as well rename the team to the Atlanta Faggots.
It does generate revenue that otherwise would not be realized.
Well it may bring some revenue to your state that might be spent elsewhere without it. But I doubt it is very significant.
Thanks - I think the problem was on my end. That was a nothingburger article, didn’t say a word about the details in the bill that would chase the NFL away.
It is not the 2% that matters. It is the close to 50% that support the 2% because it lines up with their goal to end patriarchy, capitalism, freedom, liberty..etc
Even if Atlanta caves in the NFL demands, they would be lucky to get a super bowl once every 15-20 years. The NFL is trying to pull this crap in San Diego. If the San Diego taxpayers pay $2 billion for a new stadium, the super bowls will go to the new Rams stadium first. NOT WORTH IT!
Nah it’s worse than that. It is a poorly crafted bill that at some point (sooner rather than later) will be thrown out by the courts.
If you are going to pick a hill to die be wise which one it is
“It does generate revenue that otherwise would not be realized.”
Not really, the revenue just shows up in different accounts, thats all.
No difference in hotel occupancy rates, restaurant attendance, airline arrivals, etc.
Atlanta is sold out every weekend of every year, SB or not.
What is the price tag on my 1st Amendment Right Gov Deal?
That double-entendre-filled analogy seems very accurate.
The NFL is too stupid to realize that if the Dems come to power, they will cease to exist in 10 years.
That’s because the new cause celeb will be “concussions”.
They will bankrupt the NFL, which will morph into a soccer league, because, by gum, someone’s gotta pay for those stadiums!
There are playing this non discrimination card because they are playing footsie with the left.
The Left intends to give them a foot alright—right up the keister.
They need to get a stark look at backbone.
Let's face it, it might put the Georgia sex lube and butt plug industries in a tight pinch.
Revenue, yes. Profit, not so clearly.
Putting on the game takes a lot of money - security, infrastructure, perhaps even building hotels or the like.
Some places have a windfall - likely established bars or restaurants.
But, overall, I have seen a number of studies that indicate that the net influence economically is neutral or negative.
Back some years ago when illegal immigration was a hot issue (shortly after 9/11 I think), the NFL for reasons I don’t remember, was asked for their position on it.
But I distinctly remember their answer - they said they are ‘on the 50 yard line with that’, and added they don’t like to get involved in political issues.
Atlanta will do just fine without the Super Bowl. Hope they tell them to take a hike (or something similar).

Excellent point that needs to be driven home and into the heart of this monster.
association with the NFL is likely to give you fleas or maybe cooties
After all, Hillary had something Barry wanted or she'd have never become Sec. of State.
Why would the NFL hold a Super Bowl in Atlanta, anyway? That's SEC football country!
