If Georgia chooses to turn the religious liberty bill into law, be prepared: Atlanta may not get a Super Bowl. That was the suggestion from the NFL on Friday when the league released a statement in response to The Atlanta Journal-Constitutions question about whether the league had any position on Georgia House Bill 757. The statement from league spokesman Brian McCarthy reads, NFL policies emphasize tolerance and inclusiveness, and prohibit discrimination based on age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other improper standard. Whether the laws and regulations of a state and local community are consistent with these policies would be one of many factors NFL owners may use to evaluate potential Super Bowl host sites. Falcons owner Arthur Blank has hoped to land multiple Super Bowls in the teams new stadium, which is scheduled to open in 2017. The NFL has previously moved a Super Bowl from Arizona to the Rose Bowl near Los Angeles in the 1992 season after that state refused to recognize the Martin Luther King holiday.

Don't cave, although I know Governor Deal will.
Call it what it is.
Tell the National Felon League to go somewhere it eould be welcome, like MA or CA.
The NFL (and the politicians that get comp tix) talk a great economic game, but I have a difficult time seeing any real benefit from when the SB was here in Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The NFL has been down this politically correct road before.
They pulled the 1993 Super Bowl out of Phoenix, because Arizona at that time did not have a state holiday for Martin Luther King. The Super Bowl had already been awarded, but the NFL revoked that Super Bowl, and gave it to Pasadena instead.
Eventually Arizona did decide to have a state holiday for King, and has had Super Bowls since.
I completely disagree with the NFL being so politically correct as to withhold Super Bowls, but the point is, they have done it before, and could do it again.
The question is, whether states will cave to PC just to get a Super Bowl and make the NFL happy.
So why is so much business and entertainment industry bending over backwards to show how "inclusive" they are of them?
Screw the NFL.
Knew there was a reason I stopped watching football. The National Flamer League needs to go down in their own flames.
Dead links.
It would be a shame if they lost all their special perks.
Tell the National Felon League to GO POUND SAND. And them inform them that because of their Blatant Discrimination, they are forbidden from conducting ANY BUSINESS, Including Advertising, broadcasting of their games within the State. No Merchandising, no Nothing.
That’s a very good question. Why do we have to bend over backwards to prove how liberal we are regarding “LGBT” peoples????
And what the hell happened to this culture, that we do so???
Just to note that, in 1996, the Defense of Marriage Act passed with overwhelming support from both Republicans and Democrats.
At one time, even liberal Democrats did not kowtow to the “LGBT” peoples. Now all Democrats kowtow and even many Republicans also kowtow, for fear of being labeled bigoted and homophobic and all that. What happened??
Freedom!! Ooo, look, bread and circuses.
Roger Goodell hates Christianity. The NFL, too.
That must be why our RINO Gov Deal is squealing like a stuck pig over it. What a tool!
Most studies have shown hosting these megaevents results in zero or perhaps even negative economic boosts. The event scares away normal tourists and residents. The organization behind the event, in the case the NFL, is very good at capturing most of the financial benefits that might accrue to the host. The host city is also stuck with massive security bills.

I wonder how many fans would sign on to a ticket boycott.

Try this one.
I would sooner send Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders big donation checks than watch an NFL game or have anything to do with that hardcore Leftist/Progressive organization.
If everyone who claims to care about liberty did the same thing this sort of crap would stop quickly.
I guess every state that has passed an “anti-Shari’ah” bill into law will be similarly treated by the NFL.
