Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas says GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump is scared to debate and that Mr. Trump looks down on voters, counting on them to believe whatever he tells them.
Mr. Trump, citing a prior commitment to speak at a policy conference hosted by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), said Wednesday he would not be attending the GOP presidential debate that had been scheduled for March 21 but was ultimately cancelled.
His excuse is silliness, and it reflects his assumption that he thinks the voters cant figure out that hes not telling [them] the truth, Mr. Cruz said on Wednesday evenings The Kelly File on Fox News.
Mr. Cruz pointed out that the conference hosted by AIPAC is a multi-day event it runs from Sunday to Tuesday and Mr. Trumps schedule would likely have been accommodated.
He chose to speak right in the middle of the debate [because] hes scared to debate, Mr. Cruz said.
And, you know, he just, he looks down on the voters, Mr. Cruz said. He thinks theyre gullible and will believe whatever hes saying. So Im going to be in D.C. for AIPAC as well since Donald is running away from the debate. Im happy to debate him there. If he wants, we can debate foreign policy, but the problem is, Donald doesnt do very well in foreign policy [because] he doesnt have even a basic modicum of knowledge.
Mr. Cruz said hes happy to debate Mr. Trump in Utah, where the Fox News debate was to be held, or Washington, D.C., or anywhere else.

Of course, after 50 freakin’ debates we really need one more... {yawn}
Post a real response. Quote your reference if you can. If you can’t then say so.
“The idea that this clown can compete with a man like Cruz that has argued and won cases before the Supreme Court is the height of delusion.”
You want to compare real world accomplishments?
Has Cruz amassed the billions of dollars worth of business empire Trump has? Is arguing legal theory a more difficult task than amassing a ten billion dollar empire? Is making the decisions that result in amassing a ten billion empire less difficult than arguing a case before the Supreme Court?
That is true. But he cant seem to demonstrate leadership skills which are
very important in bringing a populace
++++
I expect Trump to win. But Cruz would make a far better President. Unfortunately the American people rarely pick the right person to lead them.
Look at the track record. It is not a pretty picture.
Yawn I agree. I rather watch a Trump rally. Thing happen people protest crowd goes crazy. 757 fly in WOW.
“Trump said he wanted a 1 on 1 with Cruz.”
He was referring, of course, to primary elections. Why would Trump want to give Cruz more opportunities to lie?
*you’re
Come on. English isn’t even my first language and I get that.
Trump has won. Keep your foot on the gas and run the clock out. Snooze with Cruz.
Thank you
You do the searches I do not need to . Carry on I promise you it will not be buried.
OK, you’re embarrassed by the guy winning big with the most American supporters and would rather listen to Beck ordain Cruz when he attempts to come off like Lincoln with his condescending political sermon tone.
I wouldn’t broadcast that bucky.
“As heard on Rush: The only difference between Hillary and Trump is that Hillary has bigger hands.”
I happened to hear that spot. I knew the caller was a rabid Trump hater when Rush bent over backwards and pleaded with her to stay on the line because of the connection problem they were having.
Once she got going, Rush turned his show over to her and let her vent her spleen.
And this question the pundits have as to why Trump has support? Why can’t they comprehend that the reason is we like his campaign stances. Those campaign stances have one goal — save the country.
I noticed that during a debate, Kasich often impatiently whines: “I’ve already done that!!!!” During Rush’s show, Rush often whines: “Cruz has already said that!!!”
I had to turn him off again today; he was in his full throttle Cruz-bot mode, trying again to shape Tuesday’s election.
Thx. Our family goes back to the Mayflower and fought in the American Revolution. They founded the 2nd Baptist Church, pioneered The West, rode the Pony Express, built national and historic landmarks. Some were brought here as white slaves, others made major contributions to aeronautics and modem space exploration. Others lived and survived under Hitler and lost great fortunes. They saw terrible atrocities and starved, yet survived and came here to become Americans. Others have fought in wars and served in a variety of the armed services. I lived in NY during 911 and will never forget it. My child’s speaks of the crying at school and the the silent bus ride home with only the sounds of wailing and moaning children. My grandfather left me a gift when he died. It was a stack of pocket constitutions that he gave to everyone he came in contact with. He spoke of his love for this country and warned that we must protect her.
For me, voting for an alien born is against my family legacy and heritage. I cannot do it.
Why you are SO kind!
By the "logic" of "NBC" one would also not support Cruz over Hillary.
The score that counts is when the DEALINS done.
Yep. Third party
Nothing personal Rose.
Good to know.
I understand and I get it. Very interesting family history.
