Of course they're acting all froggy - they feel like they're on top now.

If Trump wins the general, and thats a big if, we'll see how pugnacious they feel after his administrations first twelve months.

If I'm wrong, and I hope I am, then I'll eat my keyboard. I'll still be around.

Both Trump and Cruz stand against the establishment syndicate that are interested in the advancement of their fortunes above all. We all stand against the Washington insiders who want to advance their interests against the common goals of the country and our citizens. Unfortunately, most are aligned against one of the selfish charltons, rather than against the overwhelming corruption among us.

I’m sure it was easier for Trump to just cut a check rather than offend somebody who could make things difficult for him down the road.

The hate I see on Free Republic for Ted Cruz, Mark Levin and all the other great conservative leaders remind me of liberal websites. It is disgusting.

Continuing to tout a first term Senator as the second coming of Ronald Reagan is getting old.

As for Trump the guy has a history of building what he sets out to build. Is it always successful? More often than not, yes. He's also NOT a Lawyer. We've had enough Lawyers running for office to last a few lifetimes.

Why are the Cruz supporters so unrealistic. Your candidate has a slim chance of winning, even if everything were to fall into place perfectly. All he can do is stop Trump from getting enough delegates, that's it. He has no practical path to winning the nomination. Do you really think you can push Cruz over the top at this point?

Advice for Ted Cruz. You're young, make a deal with Donald Trump and unify the party. Your credit will never be as good as it is right now. The republican primary has just become a game of "deal or no deal" and the suitcases are running out. If you wait until it's completely obvious you have no chance of winning you will lose your bargaining power with Donald Trump.

Cut the Cruz hate.

That would be great. But it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I never thought I would see this kind of hatred and vilification of a Conservative on FR either.

Good. You will be on the Trump bandwagon before you know it. No Cruz support at his rallies here must be working on your mind.

“The one wildcard is that the GOPe is venomous against Trump...That helps tell me he might be the right guy.”

Agreed. And it is getting more and more obvious. I’ve been struggling with this.......my instincts go with Trump.

What a walk of shame will it be for Levin, as far as Beck that guy is a lunatic. From day one, it wasn’t Trump starting these attacks, each time it was Trump being attacked first - with one minor exception.

Trump went after Jeb Bush, only being our voice for the Republican base who despised Jeb with his upside down ! Mexican style.

And it was TRUMP who took down Jeb Bush, not Cruz, not anybody else. And it was Trump who was the hero that brought the Republican base’s frustration and total “had enough of it” anger of the endless spigot of illegal and criminal aliens shoved down our throat as we were told we were not “true” conservatives by the GOPe and the messed up in the head likes of Rich Lowry and the rest. Only because of Trump our frustrations of having to choke on this crap from so-called “true” conservatives, the GOPe and from the Obamanists and the disgusting freaks in the Democratic Party who are literally committing cultural genocide on America - ONLY Trump was so brave to bring this issue front and center and he had to face from that point forward the ceaseless insults and attacks - he never once started any of them that was to come, he only responded to them and I welcomed his responses and forwith became even a stronger supporter.

Cruz and those in his campaign who are running a religious campaign and not a political campaign tried to steal Trump’s thunder of the anti-establishment. I don’t care about Cruz and his “green eggs and ham” or his stories about “poison pill” et all, Cruz was a politician but it took a NON-politician like Trump to carry forward the voice of the anti-establishment in this election cycle, and it is very clear to me as Cruz now loads up his campaign with the Bush cartel and with total enemies of the Republican base such as Lindsey Graham that he is one creepy dude who will do anything to get the nomination because he got some of those in his “leadership” and some of his followers to believe he was anointed by Jesus to win the nomination. He was NOT appointed nor anointed to be any sort of thing, and now he will have to answer to those who he had going on this trip and his father is literally a cultist. This isn’t “conservatism”, this is a guy who increasing realized he isn’t going to get the support of the base to the extend of winning the nomination and now those who are thinking Jesus is intervening in this election are going to suddenly have a real “come to Jesus” moment and the reaction isn’t going to be pretty, and so now he is hitching his wagon not only with the likes of a nutcase like Beck but with the very Republican establishment itself, Perry, Bush, now that most despised of all Graham, it is pathetic but I suppose if you were in his place and misled others like he did you might do anything as well.

Cruz continues on his attacks on Trump. I watched this entire election cycle, outside of the Trump attacks on Bush where Trump hit first (and God bless him for doing so), all the other attacks were started by attacking Trump first, and that was true of Cruz. His attacks were uncalled for, and also he tried to use the inter-conflicts of competing AM Radio “Conservative” talk show hosts who have stupid jealousies of other talk show hosts, one of the worst being Mark Levin who hates Michael Savage a fellow Jew because everyone knows Michael was the giant and the true “Great One” carrying the at time dangerous to his own life message of the right like nobody else, and it doesn’t matter how much Levin goes on and on about Constitution this or that, Savage touched the people and Levin cannot hold a candle to him and it is pure mental issues of Levin and his hatred and jealousy of Savage that he immediately went full bot on Cruz and it isn’t because he is a “true” anything, it is pure competitiveness with other talk show hosts. Now this guy Levin totally ignores the obvious and carries on an on with the attempts to stop Trump because Levin knows he was a fool but will never admit it.

He knows what is coming if Cruz gets the nomination. Cruz will be massacred. Whatever you feel about, oh let us say homosexuals, the point is the left will run hit jobs on Cruz with political ads showing that crazy preacher guy yelling “the Bible says homosexuals shoul be killed” and then the next guy and we will see an ISIS leader saying homosexuals should be killed and then this nut saying homosexuals should be killed and then Cruz accepting this nuts endorsement and how ISIS and Cruz “share a lot in common”. Doesn’t matter how you feel about gay marriage or the pinkos from the gay crowd on the left - I am telling you right now, America will throw Cruz into the “lunatic” box right away and he will be totally destroyed in the general election.

Trump COULD totally destroy Cruz right now, he is actually being a nice guy in one way. There is no way Cruz could EVER win the general, I just mentioned one example and I know it hurts to hear a fellow conservative and Nationalist say this example, but that is the fact, and I can go into what else is going to happen if Cruz got the nomination but I actually have enough “respect” for him to hold back on it. This is going to be the last election if we do not get Trump (or even Cruz, but he will NOT get the nomination without becoming the establishment’s toadie and it is clear now he is willing to do so) into the White House. America will be flooded with foreign illiterates and illegals from South of the Border, Texas will turn from Red to Blue and we will never be able to win a Republican President via the electoral college again for the next 100 years.

I am not about to let this happen just because Cruz thinks he is God’s gift to America. He isn’t. Some of you with your endless attacks on Trump are really too much, you started it each time, but if it comes down to it, you won’t believe how much can be put on Cruz and God forbid it as we are only trying to keep it toned down from just how ugly it’s going to be in the general. You people better get united behind Trump, my God you better get your head straight. No one is trying to “ban” anyone, that isn’t going to happen, but it is really sad to see such fanatics now even using the talking points of the far left such as those disgusting communists and ragamuffin disruptors who have been trying to disrupt free elections and the voice of the “silent” majority for decades. This is NOTHING new, and I am telling you that what Cruz has done at this juncture is an outrage. He has did himself in.

The constitutional conservative voting for TPA which ensured TPP would happen?

Who funded the election of the congressman that put out TPA?

TRUMP... yet that somehow gets forgotten.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2013/07/17/donald-trump-donated-to-mitch-mcconnell/

Where was Ted Cruz on TPA... first he was for it but then he went strongly with Sessions against it. Where he has yet to budge from. His final vote proves it.

I will let Cruz explain his position (and change) below in his own words.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/06/23/exclusive-ted-cruz-obamatrade-enmeshed-in-corrupt-backroom-dealings/

In a nutshell... Here is Cruz's explaination for NOT voting for TPA.

Enough is enough. I cannot vote for TPA unless McConnell and Boehner both commit publicly to allow the Ex-Im Bank to expire—and stay expired. And, Congress must also pass the Cruz-Sessions amendments to TPA to ensure that no trade agreement can try to back-door changes to our immigration laws. Otherwise, I will have no choice but to vote no

Here is the final vote on TPA (which unfortunately passed)... Note that it passed without Cruz vote. Cruz voted NAY... CRUZ DID NOT SUPPORT TPA in the end when it mattered... Note the date on this vote... Cruz votes Nay. June 24, 2015, 04:03 PM

http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?&congress=114&session=1&vote=00219

Here is a picture of the final vote on TPA... June 24, 2015, 04:03 PM

#311 then you’ll feel like a fool the day after when the news reports that President elect Hillary won by the average 13 points all the polls showed she would beat trump by since Feb. of 16 won’t you.

If you really believed that, you would be taking a far more strident and desperately panicked tone.

Perhaps you’re right, didn’t consider that. 5779 is September 2018 to August 2019 in the Jewish calendar. No significance to those dates I know of, you’re probably right.

I got a chuckle out of that. Hillary is the Dead Parrot sketch.

Well, I have very little doubt that she always wanted to be a lumberjack.

I have a question for you. Have any of DT’s businesses contributed to making America great again? Are they the kind of businesses that you want? Why hasn’t he gotten into mfg since the first time he talked about becoming president almost 30 years ago? (1988 on oprah) What effect did his businesses have on Atlantic City and other towns where his endeavors were the mainstay?

Yes, I believe Trump's businesses have made a positive impact: New York real estate, Chicago skyscraper, DC historic post office turned luxury hotel opening soon, golf courses, just to name a few. Not everyone has to be in manufacturing. Atlantic City's failure is complex, not the sole fault of Trump. Not all businesses succeed.

Do you remember that in 2015 right after he announced his candidacy that he said he with oprah would make an unstoppable team? Since he takes no ones advice, maybe we should really listen to him.

I think he was joking, although you have to remember that Oprah was adored. Probably could have won an election. :-)

Did you know he testified before a Congressional committee on the economy in 1991? He said the incentive to invest was taken away under Reagan in 1986. He wanted the real estate business helped and funded Frank Dodd who was partner to the real estate bubble.

Interesting to look back. Do you remember when VP Dick Cheney laughed at himself and Don Rumsfeld for their work on wage and price controls in the Nixon White House? Circumstances change. People change. The tax plan that Trump has laid out on his website does not reflect his views in that hearing.
