I heard on the news this a.m. that they DENIED Hillary a Secure phone and that’s why she went with her private Blackberry!!!! WHAT???

I heard it too, but - what she requested was a secure phone that could be taken in to a SCIF - where no phones, cameras, flash drives or recordable media are allowed. Period.

What she requested was a secure phone like that given Obama, who apparently has a very special "blackberry", not the off the shelf ones that the rest of the world gets. She was denied that very special phone because she had no business bringing a forbidden item into a SCIF. Apparently the NSA has types that are exempt, but she was not high enough on the totem pole (can I say that?) to get one.

So, if she had to make a call, she had to go out into the hall and retrieve her phone from the lockbox like the rest of the us would.
