Ted Cruz on Wednesday mocked Donald Trump for bowing out of a debate next week in Salt Lake City, and the Texas senator vowed to call out the GOP front-runner at a gathering of a major pro-Israel lobby group next week.
Trump said earlier in the day that he would not participate in the Fox News debate in Utah on Monday, and John Kasich quickly said that he wouldn't attend if Trump didn't. Later on Wednesday, Fox News formally canceled the event.
Trump said he would use his time instead on Monday to address a conference hosted by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the prominent pro-Israel group. Cruz's campaign said in a statement Wednesday that Cruz would use his time at the same conference to "highlight Trump's positions -- or lack thereof -- in front of the thousands of AIPAC members in attendance."
"Let's be intellectually honest about what's going on here -- Donald Trump is scared to debate Ted Cruz next week,"

I hope President Trump leaves Reverend Ted right where he is: in the Senate, alone, with no accomplishments whatsoever. I used to want him for VP, but now I don’t want to see Cruz with ANY job in Trump’s administration.
Never were any damn debates.
Unless you want to call a series of out-of-control screamfests lorded-over by pontificating DemoRat MSM character assassins hell-bent on destroying the reputations or credibility of ONLY Republican candidates “debates”.
Glad they are over, Only Cruz is stupid/ desperate enough to desire to continue that madness because he is losing bad.
I think children of politicians should be off limits... But it goes both ways. Don’t use your own children to make fun and then not expect the opposing team to use them too. Not smart on his part.
Well that’s mighty presidential of the mailman’s son. If he’s not going, I’m not going. At least he recognizes the real leader!
100 to one says, NO.
I think the Cruz folks are having a very bad, no good, really sucks, horrible horrible day.
To them I say, “Don’t worry, everything’s gonna be alright.”
~~Go Trump, GO!!~~~~Go Trump, GO!!~~~~Go Trump, GO!!~~
I’ve been making the same point all day. He got 13% in Ohio, 17% in Florida and probably about 19% or so (probably less) in Virgnia. Trump is stronger than Cruz where Cruz is strong (for the most part) AND he’s strong across the country to date. Now let’s play the Cruz scenario. If he wins he’ll win because the GOPe drag him across the line in NY, NJ, RI, CT, CA All states where has has absolutely not chance in the general election; I mean NONE, he probably won’t even have campaign offices there. These are not his core places and if he is to win there It is entirely because the GOPe wants to tear down Trump. Even still I don’t think he would be a first ballot nominee and It’s hard for me to imagine the same people who are now saying we should nominate Ryan are going to give him the election in a brokered convention (or even on the second ballot). It should also be noted that there have been no attacks on Cruz since SC. His numbers also need to be seen in that context. No one has really started on him yet. Contrast that with Trump who is so far overcoming 100s of millions of dollars in negative ads, 2 political parties and the media.
Agreed.
Even Cruz’s daughter is afraid of Cruz. We’ve seen the video!
Just look at him. LOOK AT HIM!
I know a good dermatologist that can zapp those red blood vessels on his nose.
It’s ok Ted. Just breath. I know you can do that. Count to ten. Just breath.
“Kasichs plan had been to let Cruz attack Trump while Kasich stayed above it all.”
Yeah, during the debates, when everyone ignored him and he bored everyone into a stupor, he prissies out and claims he is above the fray, the only adult on the stage.
Ahhhh. Poor little FREEPER. Can’t get your way. Voters won’t vote for Cruz. Lost 5 states out of five and you want to bash trump. Go ahead. You’ve been doing it for months.
They only put the debate in a few days ago. Cruz is not telavent at this point ex ept for the Cruz Glue sniffers
I really regret spending two and a half years supporting this jackass. Cruz’s true colors are really coming out and he is nothing more than a reptilian shill for the establishment.
It seems the more time he spends with Beck the more juvenile he becomes. My God, this election cycle has been like a bunch of kindergartners wrestling in a sandbox.
Ted can be a jackass sometimes. He is blowing it.
thank you.
Trump ridicules and mocks others too, he can take it.
