Even though I no longer dream of finding Ann in my boudoir, I think she is right on most of the time. Her last book, Adios America, documented the idiocy of unchecked immigration and spelled it out so even a three year old could understand it. Unfortunately, most citizens can't comprehend at that high of a level.

One need not search too far. This election cycle seems to be a direct analog of the Andrew Jackson run for president, which killed the Federalist party (that day's GOPe) for a new party that was actually popular with the "great unwashed".

And Trump reminds me of Jackson himself....a largely self-made rich man who took those who attacked him out behind the barn. I suspect if dueling were still legal, that Trump would probably do the "walk ten paces, turn and fire" bit with some of his critics.
