[Oh, crap. VP has no influence or power over anything.]

VP = President of the Senate. It can have A LOT of power if used properly.

VP is also a serious pathway to the presidency, especially for a young, aggressive candidate like Ted Cruz.

It would do a great deal to overcome Cruz’ executive experience lack.

Suppose Trump turns the country around and does a Reagan.

Cruz has a very good chance at the Presidency in 8 years.

Trump lacks Constitutional experize, but is known to hire the best to advise him. Cruz is right up there as one of the best.

Nelson Rockefeller tried to use “President of the Senate” to gain attention in 1975, but the much beloved Robert C. Byrd put him in his place quickly. Oddly, a decade later Byrd teamed up with Nelson’s nephew on one liberal measure after another as the two were WV senators.
