President Barack Obama says Donald Trump's rallies pale in comparison to the crowds his own drew — including a Missouri event that drew 100,000 — during his first run for the White House.
"Sometimes you hear folks say, 'oh, that rally is big,'" Obama said at a Democratic gathering in Texas last Saturday....

"I say, I don't know. We had some pretty big rallies. In 2008, we had rallies with 50,000, 80,000, 100,000 people. I'm not bragging, I'm just saying we had some big rallies," he said, the Examiner reports.

I have my doubts too. Like the 94 year old woman in Tennessee whose a first time voter that Trump mentions. Where the hell has she been for the last 70 years? You couldn’t find anybody in all that time to vote for?
I get we have some really and truly LIV and apathetic people out there, but I call BS on the idea that’s being sold that it’s a matter of principle that has kept people away from the polls. That whole, “all politicians are the same, why bother” mentality.
And what happens when the Trump magic is gone? I’ll tell you. They’re gonna go right back to their old ways of not giving a damn.

The title makes it appear that it is a quote of Obama. However, I see no citation or source for Obama saying that. What he did say does not support the title’s insinuation.
False excerpting and quotation of politicians is epidemic in media today. It is poor reasoning. It’s simply slander instead of reason. That’s journalism today.
