Sen. Ted Cruz said Monday he could see inviting presidential campaign opponents Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Ohio Gov. John Kasich into his cabinet in Washington -- and he also said he could see circumstances where he would not support front-runner Donald Trump as the nominee.
The conservative Texan has been repeatedly asked about whether he would support Trump if the mogul ends up winning the primary. Despite a the presence of the "Never Trump" movement within the Republican Party, candidates have been quick to say they will support the Republican nominee.
But speaking with reporters in Illinois on Monday, Cruz did say there was a scenario he wouldn't get behind Trump.
"I can give you one example where I would no longer support Donald Trump -- if, for example, he were to go out on Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, I would not be willing to support Donald Trump," Cruz said.

What are people’s thoughts on the Anonymous video that came out today about Ted Cruz ?
After the crap Kasich has spouted, like immediate amnesty, and starting a war with Russia, the only cabinent he should be in is the medicine cabinet.
Beck is nuts, but would he be worse than Clinton or Kerry?
It’s a toss up, I think
Cruz’s ship has sunk. The titanic is hitting the iceberg. Cruz is now toast.
Kasich would be considered a dimoKKKRAT in many circles. Having him in your cabinet does not show principled leadership by Ted Cruz. Cruz continues to disappoint.
That's exactly it bears repeating. Cruz is a liar and an actor not a conservative as it is all an act. Cruz will calculate and say whatever he thinks will get him higher in the polls. He believes none of what he says. Cruz is a false prophet like Muhammad and he's got brainwashed followers just like Muhammad did.
Cruz recently stated he “WOULD SUPPORT TRUMP”, then he “would not support front-runner Donald Trump as the nominee”. That boy is definitely a flip flopper. Now do you still trust him? Not me.
2013
In an interview with TIME Magazine, Cruz said he modeled his successful 2012 Senate campaign on Obamas 2008 run (along with Sen. Marco Rubios in 2010). Cruz said he believed so much in the Obama playbook that he gave some of his staffers David Plouffes book, The Audacity to Win for Christmas.
I think Barack Obama is an extraordinary politician. And I respect Barack Obama a great deal. I think he is committed to his principles, which is rare in politics.
(He did go on to say he didnt agree with his policies)

If he's totally sold out, sure. They can hold the Natural Born situation over his head and he'll keep jumping through hoops for the elitist backstabbers. That's what he's doing now. He is no longer one of us.
Cruz is now and always has been open to whatever gets him what he wants.
ALL GOP PRICKS
Oh please
I hope this scandal whatever it is, is big. Cruz is a horrible person.
Agree that Cruz has been screwing up lately.
Senator Cruz: Just stick to being a conservative constitutionalist, stop the pathetic money raising emails, stop throwing mud over inconsequential issues, and run on real issues.
If you want to attack Trump - attack him over his big government tendencies and recent conversion to the right. Otherwise support him.
Smile more. Avoid looking worried or angry. Watch old Reagan tapes. You have the intellect and the values. Stick to them.
Every statement you just made is completely false except for Neil Bush. But your attempt to imply that hiring him somehow makes Cruz a bushie is just another pathetic smear attempt.
Stick to facts. Stick to reality.
Talk about your low information voters? They are the Cruzbots, who have had a house fall on them, and with their dying breath, they still chant Cruz, Cruz, Cruz. Such pathetic creatures are they. Cruz thinks Rubio is a great leader? That is side-splitting hilarious! Cruz lacks good judgment, but excels in snake oil sales.
I should have worded the statement about Kasich and Rubio a little differently. Cruz said open to his cabinet not will include. You are right. I should have been more careful in my wording.
I am not a big fan of Neil Bush. I think Senator Cruz giving him that important of a position was ill advised.
It shows me that Cruz is not fit to be president simply based on his decision making skills. Or lack thereof.
