Sen. Ted Cruz has vowed to support GOP front-runner Donald Trump if he secures the Republican nomination -- but he has one condition.
"I can give you one example where I would no longer support Donald Trump. If for example, he were to go out on Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, I would not be willing to support Donald Trump," Cruz said today at a press conference in Rockford, Illinois.
Cruz’s reference is to when, back in January, Trump joked at a campaign rally in Sioux Center, Iowa, that his supporters would stand behind him even if he shot someone.

The implication of Cruz’s remark was clear. He’s in league with the left in trying to make Trump out to be a promoter of totalitarian-styled violence. Any Cruzbot who denies that’s the case is being completely dishonest — just like Cruz.
Oh come on, can’t we have a little levity? We’re talking about Ted promising to support Donald, no one actually suggested Trump was seriously going to shoot someone.

Cruz is getting more weird and creepy the longer this primary goes. I’m actually grateful it’s all gone on this long. It’s been a fascinating vetting process. And to think I used to be a supporter.

You are so right. Why Ted Cruz suported Pol Pot when he was a youth. Every night I sleep in fear that Ted will lead hordes of plaid clad Canadians across the border to force us to watch hockey.
