I listened to the execrable Smerconish change literally overnight from a "conservative" talk show host in Philly into a Barack Obama knee padder. I mean overnight. He is a slip and fall lawyer in one of the major "I gots a case" cities in the country.
Driving around today listening to segments of the show and not very impressed,
thinking does his show prep involve ignoring events that don’t jibe with his agenda.
So, going to go through today’s thread to see if I was on the wrong track
or if others had similar take on it.

One thing we often forget.Rush does about as much as he can considering he is basically deaf. We often forget that. Bearing it in mind makes stuff look a little bit different. If he gets a caller who talks too fast he can't pick up enough for the conversation. He has to start guessing what was said. Once again he makes broadcasting look easy. But it's anything but easy at his level. there are so may considersations you cannot imagine. Toughest thing of all no matter what he does someone elses ox gets gored.

Rush didn’t even mention the story and the fact that it was a lie and a scam. He mentioned the tweet about Palin being thrown off the Trump campaign and faintly mentioned that Todd may been hurt is what the Trump campaign is claiming. He made it sound as if he didn’t believe todd was hurt. After the break he said nothing more about Todd being injured or that he was in the ICU and that’s why Sarah left.
Rush also claimed that Cruz’s position on the violence at the Trump rally was “100%” on target. And that these guys are trying to take out Trump so what they say or do is okay.

Rush is showing his true Establishment colors.
What is Rush’s fear of Trump when his main positions are good ones, plus he has the appeal and gets voters voting from other parties. Trump grows the GOP or maybe the independents depending on how criminal the GOPe intends to be.
Rush isn’t fearful, he is in the tank for the GOPe block, or as I call them the 3 stooges. His guy is Cruz.
Rush hasn’t endorsed anyone.

Any one item or issue can be argued in either direction, but collectively, he tells it like it is, is unafraid of being un PC, and calls them on it!
His current immigration stance would have been poo pooed on this very site a year ago.
We are in fact choosing based on perception of character, and we certainly hope he delivers.

I don't think this is true. I remember him spending a couple days on his idea that the perfect ticket would be Hilllary/Jeb or Jeb/Hillary. This was before Jeb had announced. He was, I think, signalling that he was strongly not in favor of another Bush running. I did not see any evidence of him favoring Jeb at any point in the time Jeb was in the race. He was, as you note, always favorable to Little Marco, and, in the early going, was not as favorable to Cruz as I wanted him to be then. He was always nice to Cruz, but not shilling for him like he is now.
Screw Rush. Didn’t even listen today because I knew he was going to find a way to defend Cruz’s shameful support of leftist provocateurs.

IF, and it’s a BIG IF, the Fields Assault LIE goes viral, and Rush (and other talkers—Like Beck and the Not Great One Anymore) has no recourse BUT to address the lies, how much anyone want to bet the story will have been “buried in the giant pile of stuff?” Gee, meant to get to it!
I’ll never vote for Jed Bruz!
