Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” while discussing the recent protests and violence at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s rallies, Sen. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said Trump was “encouraging people to violence” and pointed to an instance where he said to “punch that guy in the face” as his proof.

Would you punch a burglar in the face? If so, does that incite burglary - or deter it?
You are repeating Cruz’s lie that he got from the media and the left.
Check your facts. Don’t Trust Lyin’ Ted. Bearing false witness?
Political fanaticism defies all reason. People cease using their brains to think critically in order to support their messiah at all costs.
Trump is old school...bringing back the ways of tough old generals.
Cruz is lacking is American spirit (soul/heart)
Therefore, on a totally legalistic basis Cruz could be right but Trump will get all the support.
I think Trump likes the fracas. Last night he gave it attention. Didn’t have to, but that’s his focus. Trump’s threats of lawsuits is likewise symptomatic of our litigious America, something that is not great about us.
How can Cruz deter violence by promising he would go fetal position if attacked?
They’d be doing the same to Milquetoast Mitt, if he were the front-runner, but Mitt would just stand there smiling like a doofus.
You get the facts wrong when you say, “How is it possible to dispute that telling his followers to punch people in the face does not incite violence?”
Get the facts of the matter and you will answer your own question with, “Trump was justified in saying that.”
You are spewing the pap that the Lefties use in their propaganda. Where is your mind?
A rally is not Trump’s home it is a public venue.
I use to trust the Conservative media at NR, Town Hall, Redstate, Weekly Standard, Fox News etc to be accurate and honest.
To be fair, they haven't changed - they were always inaccurate, sensationalist and dishonest. Choosing Fox News over CNN was the akin to choosing one supermarket tabloid over the other.
Guys like Eric Erickson, Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reily have always been idiots - they just capitalized on pitting one side against the other.
How is it possible to dispute that telling his followers to punch people in the face does not incite violence?
Since when do violent communists and BLM thugs need incitement to be violent?
The issue at hand is a GOP rally being violently attacked. That Ted Cruz is trying to score political points off assaulted conservatives is pathetic.
Possibly.
But the threat of lawsuits hits home to me about how our population has been cowed by such threats, although he should know that those he is “threatening” with lawsuits generally don’t care about such trivialities.
I’m wondering if his “threat” of lawsuits isn’t really geared towards those who are behind the scenes that are organizing these protesters and ultimately pulling the strings of the large protester groups.
Cruz or hillary.. and the sheeple are trying to pry victory out of hands.
So close to a man who can fix this..
but they are trying to keep us all in the chains of an elite club that has run our country into the ground... and still will if they have their way.
It’s no wonder no one in leadership ever tried to stop obama.. they agreed with him.
That is how muslim’s justify making women wear burkas, are men not capable of any self control?
From the standpoint of party platform, Trump is picking the wrong battle. These protesters are not are focus.
Not only do they spew the Leftist line but, by doing so, they encourage the Leftist to hit harder. What they are doing is working. People like you are falling for it, and that makes me furious!
not our focus.
