“1. Its not an assault weapon.”
Really? If it isn’t I don’t know what it is. Maybe a store robbing weapon?
A MAC-10 is certainly not a hunting rifle. I have no issue with calling it a close assault weapon.
Lets call it what it really is, Urban Combat Firearm. It becomes an assault weapon when you bash the butt of it into someone’s face.

No one would ever assault with a MAC-10 plus it fails to meet the definition (MAC-10 shoots 9mm or .45ACP, not an intermediate cartridge like 5.56mm). In full auto, it’s a sub machine gun. As a semi-auto, it’s nothing but a big pistol.
Prior to 1989, the term “assault weapon” did’t exist. It is a political term, developed by anti-gun freaks to expand the category of “assault rifles.
What anti-gun freaks call “assault weapons” function like every other normal firearm i.e., they fire only one bullet each time the trigger is pressed and as the title states and the video shows it’s a semi-automatic.
Assault rifles and assault weapons are fully automatic.
It’s a semi auto version of the MAC-10 submachinegun.NO stock, just a pistol grip. It’s an inefficient gun for close work,I’d prefer a decent handgun.
It’s a repeating single shot weapon.
To be an assault weapon it would need to be fully automatic and have a barrel heavy enough or well cooled enough for extended periods of automatic fire before overheating.
I don't either. Additionally, I've always found the "proper firearm terminology police" excessively annoying. I enjoy using the terms "clip" and "bullet" just to assist in giving them aneurysms. "IT'S 'MAGAZINE' AND 'CARTRIDGE'!!! GET IT RIGHT!!!! ARGH!!!!!!"
A MAC 11 is an assault weapon. Fully automatic. It looks just like a semi-auto MAC 10.
The MAC-10, as originally designed, was a machine pistol.
What was used in Chicago was the semi automatic pistol version of the fully automatic MAC-10.
