Does Trump and or his supporters have grounds to sue either or both the University of Illinois-Chicago and Bernie Sanders and or his campaign? I am not a lawyer, so any out there please feel free to help.
1. The University of Illinois-Chicago rented the space to Trump. Doesnt the University have a responsibility to provide the rental space suited for its intended purpose? At the inception of a commercial lease, a landlord impliedly warrants that the premises are suitable for their intended purpose and that there are no latent defect in the property that the landlord knew or should have known about that would prevent the use of the premises for its known intended purpose.
2. The University also did not provide enough security to prevent the problem.
3. Bernie Sanders campaign may or may not have coordinated the shutdown of the Trump campaign event. Would this be a violation of Trumps and his supporters 1st Amendment rights?
Namely freedom of speech, right to peaceably assemble and prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances. Remember Sanders is a sitting US Senator, a member of the government.
4. The University of Illinois-Chicago also violated Trumps and his supporters 1st Amendment rights of freedom of speech, right to peaceably assemble. Remember the University receives Federal funding so should they also follow Federal Laws?
So if neither Trump nor his supports have any grounds to sue over this matter, then there would be nothing to stop Trump and his supports from caring out the same actions to shut down Sander's and Clinton's events!
That’s the purpose of discovery.
I believe it falls more into the aspect of known defects which were not disclosed.
True...
Yes, saw that Bill was there.
You seriously have to ask why the GOP hasn’t come out and condemn this violence? The GOP wants Trump gone. We are going through history right now that hasn’t really happened since the 60’s & early 70’s. Images of Kent State come to mind. Although relatively more peaceful protests done back then compared to now, if things begin to ramp up more ain’t no safe space on a college campus is going to save from what is about to occur. We are well on our way to Civil War II and it will be even more violent than the first. It won’t be about slavery this time around nor will it be about keeping the Union together. This time it will be something totally different in its entirety. While I am not a Beck fan, and while he was still on the Fox channel with his tv show, he showed this to begin happening from the likes of MoveOn.org and Soros. Its a bottom-up revolution, something akin to what happened in France during the 100 days of Terror where the bottom rose up. Only the one who took over and were eventually overthrown and had their own head put to the guillotine. The USA hasn’t gone through something like this yet and it appears to be brewing. Only problem is that once it does there ain’t no turning back.
Why bother? Winning the nomination and the election is the proper way to defend against these anti-American shitheads. (whom Cruz sides with btw)
The police scanner said that protesters were smashing cars in the parking garage with bats. Hopefully there is security video.>>>> university of illinois? really. oh those cameras don’t really work.
So, let’s see here. Mr. Trump tells his supporters that maybe a disruptor “should have been roughed up, because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing”.
Later, at a different rally with a different disruptor, Mr. Trump tells his supporters “Id like to punch him in the face, I tell ya.”
The opposition decides to “bring it” to Mr. Trump and Mr. Trump’s supporters react by saying, “So if neither Trump nor his supports have any grounds to sue over this matter, then there would be nothing to stop Trump and his supports from caring [sic] out the same actions to shut down Sander’s and Clinton’s events!”
This is called the cycle of violence, and it just escalates until something really, really bad happens.
Thats exactly what Barack Obama said he would do to counter Republican attacks If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun, Obama said at a Philadelphia fundraiser Friday night. Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl. Ive seen Eagles fans. Jan 2008
PAWNED!
A yuuuge bowel movement..
A yuuuge bowel movement..
I think he can sue for the loss of TV exposure and the cost of the arena and other associated expenses
