Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) said Friday night that primary frontrunner Donald Trumps campaign is responsible for creating an environment that encourages violence after a Trump rally was cancelled because clashes broke out when protestors entered the event.
Speaking at a press conference, Cruz told reporters he thinks a campaign bears responsibility for creating an environment [of violence]. When the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence, to punch people in the face, the predictable consequence of that is that it escalates.

WOW - I don’t listen to Rush because I’m at work but one thing for sure...this election is really unmasking the uniparty! Used to listen to Levin but no more...and I don’t even miss him. Used to watch Megyn but no more...don’t miss her either.
It is. But not in the way you hope.
(big negative for Cruz - the first one for me.)
If that’s only the first, you clearly haven’t been paying attention.
Cruz has missed a lot of opportunities to rise above the fray. I am beginning to believe he is not as bright as we give him credit for. :(
I can’t blame them for wanting to stop Trump. I want that too. He would be a disaster for the country. I can’t care less about what happens to the Republican Party.
“Politics makes strange bedfellows,” is the old saw, and this season, that’s true in spades as witness all the self-proclaimed pro-life conservatives aligning themselves with a liberal fraudster’s Presidential ego trip. Just wow!
As for the violence at Trump’s rallies and the responsibility he bears for it; come on, Cruz is right!
But, Cruz didn’t need to point it out. Some things are so obvious - like a hare lip - that pointing it out seems churlish.
Republican rally is canceled due to threats from far left groups and Cruz says its the Republicans front runner fault.
This is the guy who wants to lead the Republicans. This is the GOPe’s guy.
I’ll never vote for this asshole.
bkmk
A lot if it is tit-for-tat in the battle for the nomination; however, Trump has no share of the blame for his rhetoric and Cruz should blame Trump.
Kasich doesn’t want his help and has basically told Rubio to go to hell...

Last night was not a result of Trump’should “rhetoric”. This was a well planned and executed event planned by Bill Ayers and MoveOn.org. Any moron without the head up Cruz’s ass could see it.
Cruz had an opportunity to say something smart and presidential, but instead gave a stump speech and sided with these animals.
Trump has done more to divide the people in the last seven months than it took Obama to do in the last seven years.
He said he would increase the ethanol subsidies. How in the hell will he be able to cut entitlements?
He wants to keep Obamacare, all of those things you all rail about every day.
Just because I want someone who hasn’t given campaign donations to the enemy, I’m considered the enemy.
Just because I happen to believe in a God now means I’m a religious zealot.
Just because I don’t think our president should be touting his private parts, in front of my children on national TV, now I’m prim and proper.
Just because he talks down to his crowd and says nothing but promising things he can’t possibly accomplish.
He’s not an outsider. He’s just rich enough to buy the presidency. He make outlandish claims in order to get his free press. He’s an entertainer. He’s a flimflam man supreme. He conning the masses and when the dust settles you’ll be screaming for someone to do something.
He’s the biggest scam America has ever had perpetrated on her.
You’ll have to live with that.
LOL..!
Maybe we we should start calling him “Red Ooze”...
Thanks Cruz. I will go out and campaign for Trump twice as hard since you are showing your true face.
Me, too. Instead we get the blare of Trumpettes, calling for a man's head based on a poor headline.
If nothing else, they prove Cruz's point.
Listen to what he said, not what people say he said. He placed the blame squarely on the protestors for their behaviour, then said that a candidate leads his people, creates the demeanor they will assume by example. That creating an air of physical confrontation will lead to that. If the shoe fits...
Bullshit.
Just think what P.T. Barnum could have done with TV. And he would have kept it clean.
Cruz is a POS. Save your breath for some other sucker.
Okay sucker, I won’t bother you. Worship your Donald.
Awwww someone’s mad that I don’t worship their booger eating snake handler
