Seems Cruz, Rubio and Kasich are willing to be tools of the left because they think they’ll benefit at the moment. How short-sighted.
If the left now does this at every Trump event and succeeds at shutting him down, and the result is that Cruz somehow takes the lead, the lefty thugs will immediately begin doing the same thing to HIM. Their goal is to destroy ALL of the Republican candidates and ensure the left retains the White House. Their goals are even more far-reaching than that. They want a fascist, totalitarian government. They are useful idiots. They don’t realize what they’re asking for.
Republican candidates showing support for this crap is disgusting, I don’t care who it is. It’s very foolish to play into the hands of these protesters.

Did Cruz mention LaRaza, moveon.org, BLM, and other radical groups specifically? It wasn’t in the quote that Weigel gave; did he leave stuff out?
No he didn't mention Laraz or the others...but it was all over twitter that these groups were going to do this.
Whatever Cruz was trying to say was totally obliterated by his shameless act of blaming Donald Trump for their actions.

I have read and listened to longtime Conservatives with longtime records of unwavering principles get savaged, ridiculed and treated worse by other so-called Conservatives than I have ever seen directed at Leftists. It is clear that the majority in the country want a king or dictator. The Leftists have theirs, the Populists want theirs and in such a poisoned state, we are ripe for a bloodbath from within.
Slaughters happen in this same exact political environment this disintegrating nation finds itself. Harsh and brutal Dictatorships have always arisen in such an environment, when the chaos and bloodletting finally cause everyone to choose whomever is the perceived strongman.
Liberty will not survive, nor indeed can exist in any capacity in such an environment. Notwithstanding the fact we cannot even agree on what the definition of liberty even is nowadays.
As another FReeper noted, this just may be Trump doing what he does.
He schedules a rally in hostile territory the weekend before that states Primary. Tuesday is a make or break moment for Trump and Cruz.
This organized protest has been known for several days, if not weeks, but he doesn’t cancel the event before the near-riot happens.
In one fell swoop, he now has the Democrat Agenda on video and his rivals looking like fools for all the world to see
It must be disappointing, but I admire your position. Not simply because you might be switching to Trump (not sure if you implied that earlier or not). But your recognition of the typical political games in reaction to an obvious and very serious assault by left wing bullies. I’ll respect your choice for any candidate. But tonight, Cruz failed at an opportunity to lead, to put his money where his mouth is.
Honestly, I put Cruz on the TV to listen to what he had to say. No, I’m not a supporter for my own reasons. But I did have a glimmer of hope that for at least this one issue, the candidates could stand united in condemning these thug protesters who routinely crash otherwise peaceful political events. Cruz did so for about one stinking sentence. Then blamed Trump for a few minutes. Then went into a stock campaign speech. My wife said “why are we listening to this guy?” We turned him off, disappointed.
Thanks. I never heard about the first rally where they were actually thrown.
I’ll cut Trump a little slack for that remark, now.

Our guy, Trump, gave money to your holier-than-thou Cruz. Since Trump was the evil donor what was Cruz willing to do for that money.

That we know the whole Washington DC power brokers got together recently to discuss how best to take out Trump, then we see this whole organization get together to cause problems at this Trump rally.
Then all the media and the candidates coordinate their messages to blame Trump and so many of you fail to see the manipulation.

You see, that’s what’s wrong with you and your ilk. You will just lie down and take it. All the violence that has been perpetrated on our police, at our rallies, in riots on the streets of Furguson and Baltimore, the terrorist attacks on our streets by Muzzies, it’s all one sided, and you choose to unilaterally disarm.
Well, there are still some red blooded Americans out here (Trump being one of them) that are saying NO MORE. We will fight back. It will no longer only be you leftist socialists and minority radicals stabbing, maiming, shooting, punching, kicking, uttering obscenities, killing babies in the womb, and otherwise causing mayhem, and getting away with it with impunity.
The vast silent majority, their backbones being toughened up by the example of one Donald J. Trump, now stiffened with resolve, are fighting back. Except for the likes of wimps like you. Outlaw my derriere. Rename yourself. Wimpylaw is more like it.
