Cruz, speaking at a dinner for Illinois Republicans, told a gaggle of reporters that the scenes at the UIC Pavilion are likely to be repeated, given the environment the Trump campaign fosters.

"I think the campaign bears responsibility for creating an environment – when the candidate urges supporters to engage in physical violence, to punch people in the face, the predictable consequence of that is that it escalates," Cruz said. "And today is unlikely to be the last such instance."

I agree with Cruz.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Sniff, whine etc., Ted. Get Glenn the Beck to boo-hoo with you about mean old Trump and his supporters.

FYI, if someone gets in my face and tries to take away my Freedoms of Speech and Assembly, my only wish is that they will throw a punch or lay hands on me first, so that what I do to them will be self defense in the eyes of the law.

Actually, I feel under attack by all globalists (such as those who voted for Corker or TPA), but my only recourse against these traitors is my Freedom of Speech, and my vote.

I agree with Cruz.

Many (former) Cruz supporters apparently do not agree with Cruz, given the fact that dozens of them on this very forum, and who have publicly expressed their support for Cruz in the past, have expressed their disgust and switched their support to Donald Trump.

Intellectual honesty has triumphed. Ted Cruz showed de facto solidarity with an organized left-wing attack by masses of thugs who criminally conspired to infringe upon the Right of the People to Peaceably Assemble.

Consequently, Ted Cruz has been exposed as a naked, unprincipled opportunist. and it's costing him dearly. Ted Cruz f----d up, plain and simple.

Yes its unlikely t o be the last as Cruz and his Bush crime syndicate pay salaries to disruptive thugs, along with Obama’s anarchists from Acorn..

Do you think this will cow the Donald? Not at all.

Its just going to take longer to get into a secure Trump event. The People will still come by the thousands, and Trump still will take Illinois.

Well then you are off the chart. Revolution - and this is a revolution against establishment - doesn’t come easy. Just ask the many, many forefathers of ours that gave their lives so idiots can say whatever the hell they want. I’m all for free speech but don’t impose your free speech on mine. Those people wanting to hear Trump had every right to hear the man, not groups like BLM and thugs. Pretty sad when police have to force a cancellation of a lawful event to accommodate thugs.
