Ted Cruz: Closet Pentecostal
East Orlando Post ^ | March 11, 2016 | Jacob Engels

Posted on 03/11/2016 7:15:16 AM PST by freedomjusticeruleoflaw

While Ted Cruz proudly proclaims he is an Evangelical Christian, his campaign takes pains to hide the truth that Cruz and his pastor father, Rafael Cruz are Pentecostal Christians, a fact further hidden by having Ted and Heidi Cruz’s belong to the congregation of First Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist church in Houston, as their home church. Both Cruz’s parents, his father Rafael a Cuban-born immigrant, and his mother Eleanor, born in Wilmington, Delaware, grew up in Catholic families. Both were among the millions of that left the Catholic Church since the 1960s to embrace Pentecostalism, a Christian movement estimated to make up 4.4 percent of the U.S. population, accounting for some 13 percent of evangelical churches in the United States. - See more at: http://eastorlandopost.com/ted-cruz-closet-pentecostal#sthash.M95M8HTV.dpuf

There are several rules that go along with speaking in tongues such as speaking one at a time & having interpretation, or keeping it to yourself. Paul said it is one of the least of the gifts of the spirit. There was a good reason for tongues at Pentecost as they were spreading the word to diverse groups of foreigners gathered in Jerusalem in their own language. Now in todays economy I question its utility. Not that there couldn’t be instances of use, but I would suspect they are fewer and far between.

..father believes that Ted was called by God to be the president..

..time will prove what God's will is in this manner.

As to the citizenship controversy, I'm hoping that a Constitutional amendment that spells it out in black and white will come soon. Until then, we are saddled with the vagueness of current law.

Therefore, this Southern Baptist Bible study teacher still says Go Cruz !

“Cruz admitted back in Iowa he didn’t tithe.”

I think he admitted he probably didn’t tithe as much as he should have, in the past. I never saw any blanket admission “I don’t tithe”.

In fact, if you show me a Christian who wouldn’t say “I probably should tithe more”, I would be suspicious of their piety :)

We are all on a mission from God. He placed each of us here with a plan it is up to us to either follow his plan of reject it.

How does this writer know that Cruz is ‘hiding’ in the Baptist Church, and not attending there just because he wants to?

And I don’t understand why plundering the marketplace and transferring wealth to Christians would be important in the end of time. I noticed the writer suggested ending business regulations would help them? Is the writer suggesting that if it weren’t for gov’t regulations those greedy Christians would take everything?

What about the NWO connections; Goldman Sachs, CFR?

The question I have always had about Cruz (aside from the NBC issue) are these connections. Unlike Trump, Cruz cannot self fund and NWO organizations would be better able to control and manipulate Cruz via financial means.

Cruz has a very good voting record and an overall better record on the issues of concern to conservatives than Trump.

We can only pray that his Christian faith will guide him if he is elected president. If he fears God and cares about his eternal salvation, he will need to courageously defy the Satanic forces of the globalists despite all their power and money.

Should we think that Cruz can do this? Does he acknowledge these ties and influences? Has he given any direct or indirect evidence of this?

As I’ve said, I don’t pretend to know which denomination is the most accurate or faithful. I didn’t know that dominionists believed that. However, some Baptists believe in “once saved, always saved”, which is kind of in the same ballpark.

My premise is that Ted Cruz shouldn’t have ever brought religion into his politics in the way that he has. It’s one thing to testify that he’s a Christian. That’s why Cruz was initially my first choice. It didn’t take long to see through his ploy because I’ve known some professing Christians in my time that turned out to be opportunists. It’s quite another to use that as a political campaign tool.

Drudge has been very pro-Trump/anti-Cruz for a long time. He made it completely obvious when he reworked his regular debate poll model for the one time Trump say out, then changed it back when Trump showed for the next one. But, it is his site to do with as he wishes, if he would just drop the pretense of neutrality.

After he released financial information he was asked about it and admitted he didn’t tithe as he should, saying they were saving for their kids college.

Drudge was also HUGELY biased towards Mitt Romney last time in the exact same way.

Just another sign that Trump is the establishment choice over Cruz.

Helooooooo......Some of you Cruz supporters need to hear reason. We are not bashing Christians, Christianity, The Almighty or Our Savior. We’re only bashing Ted Cruz. Get it? We’re not going to “bad heaven” (my eight year old grandson calls it that} for bashing him any more than you are for bashing Trump.

Disgusting attempt by Drudge to smear Cruz based on his religion. This is going to backfire bigtime. Drudge is completely indistinguishable from MSDNC on this one. They’re the ones who would normally sit there in gasped tones trying to demonize someone over their Christian faith.

You can’t support Trump without rejecting this country’s Judeo-Christian values. Drudge is as atheistic as it comes and rumored to be a closet homosexual himself for a long time. I think that might even be on the “open secret” level by this point.

Gawker
Apr 6, 2009 - The bit about not loving gay sex is a red herring: Drudge has never been said to particularly relish his homosexuality or embrace it;

Who doesn’t love Grandpa Munster? Better President than Trump, a.k.a. Lex Luthor with another bad hairpiece.

I thought tithing was giving ten percent? So if you only give eight percent is that considered not tithing?

See? Even Christians can’t agree what Christian is much less on political subjects. So, who will you support? The {in your view} lukewarm Christian or the guy who uses foul language? Which is worse?

Maybe, at some point, we can get to the issues confronting this nation that are about to sink us.
