CALLER: Rush, the reason for my call is I wanted to ask if you saw -- it was up on Drudge earlier -- where Cruz had referred to Trump supporters, borrowing a term from you, as "low information."
RUSH: Yes, I saw that.
CALLER: So, as a Trump supporter, just to put it out there, you know, for me at this point, I kind of had two issues watching Cruz. Up until now, I've heard him lecture a lot about, you know, what's a real conservative and what does it mean to be a real conservative, and he lectures there, and I'm looking at, you know, the discharge papers on my wall from the US Army. I'm looking at my time in the private sector. It says, "Hey, I think he knows what it means to be a conservative," number one, and now he just calls me dumb. So here's my recommendation to Ted Cruz, and I think he can take a note from a guy like Donald Trump. You want my vote, Ted? Earn it. Trump is out there as a leader earning votes. Cruz is out there trying to make me feel like I do or don't qualify for his definition of what it means to be a conservative, and, at the same time, stealing a page from your playbook about Democrats calling me, a Republican, dumb. Not the way to earn my vote, Ted.

Either Trump or Ted would be a good choice.
Ted is young and green. This race will toughen Ted up for his next run.
I cannot imagine the stress and pressure the candidates have to endure. I am sure Ted would like to take back his comment.
Family was pulling in over a million a year, and not giving a penny of it to the church. Unless they have some really bad habits, they should have a net worth well into the millions. (One web site says %3.5 million. Sounds a bit low given the income stream). No Hillary Clinton, but quite well off.
I believe more folks who support Trump have read his tax plan than Cruzoids have read Cruz's tax plan.
The 16% Cruz VAT tax sucks and kills small businesses. There is no corporate tax restructure in Cruz's plan to bring investment back to this country - all this is in Trump's plan. Cruz eliminates contributions to Social Security as the first nail in the coffin to stiff the current and soon to be retired elderly - now the money is targeted but stolen while this will remove any connection as to what the government is doing.
It is the Cruzoids who are uninformed.
No matter what is said are you going to change your vote? Ask 50 people if they believe in Santa and ten will raise their hand. Beliefs are dang hard to change. Until your guy is out you are in. And even then some can’t give up the ghost.
I haven’t watched broadcast news in over a decade. However, I have not changed my listening or reading habits just because I have a difference of opinion.
Grown-ups can disagree on many things and still be civil with one another.
I don’t own a TV I’m really in the dark.
I’m also sick of being told I can’t be this or that, that I can’t think this or that. I’d like to see Cruz explain what a “Natural Born Citizen” is and show us proof that he’s even a citizen at this point.

People that don't normally vote don't tend to be well-informed.
Actually I agree with you on the tax plans. But overall I still prefer Cruz. The Cruz plan is unrealistic. It could never pass. For me the key is to cut taxes and spending to the extent possible. But I can live with Trump. I just want this race to get down to Cruz and Trump vs The Felon and The Marxist.
Some people would rather feel self righteous then win. I’m into winning.
