Republican presidential candidate Texas Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) stated, I believe we need to champion every able-bodied adult ought to be working, or actively looking for a job, and the entire purpose, every one of the welfare programs, even disability programs in a town hall broadcast on Wednesdays The Kelly File on the Fox News Channel.

Cruz did not say crippled people or that they should do heavy manual labor, he said there is meaningful work for them.
Jezz
I’d guess it’s more like he is disappointed that people have been/are sucked into trump’s void.
The hundreds of millions of dollars that Cruz is accepting are for what other than to buy influence? That’s bribery in my book. Cruz has accepted hundreds of millions of dollars and owes allegiance to the contributors of those dollars. He’s bought and paid for.
The dude's been spending too much time with Romney.
Cruz has started his 47% meme to throw the election to Hillary. Trump is running on the 'bring the jobs back' platform while Cruz is now running on the 'get off your lazy ass' platform.
Cruz DOESN'T get a pass on that. One of his primary assets is that he's near-perfect at debate and expressing things in a clear, lawyerly way.
So what is the money Drumpf is accepting called? What is the money Drumpf paid to Pelosi, Reid, Emanuel, Cuomo, McAuliffe, Clinton, Schumer, McConnell, et al, what is that money called?
Getting people off the Government dole, that are capable of working, is a “bad” thing?
Has this guy ever spent any time with folks with disabilities? My bro-in-law is paralyzed from the waist down and graduated Stanford with an econ degree - summa cum laude, was first in his law class and is the successful owner of a large mechanical contractor.
My nephew has muscular dystrophy, confined to an electric wheelchair and is completing his PhD in BioInformatics at UNC-Chapel Hill.
It shows Cruz isn't comfortable talking about this. Normally, he's pretty good at not putting his foot in his mouth but seems to be slipping the more desperate he becomes.
Drumpf appears to be running on Mussolini’s “make the trains run on time” platform. What he’s actually doing is running on the “I love the uneducated” platform. Low regulation, small government, free-markets create jobs. Central-planning, whether by a nationalist or a socialist, kills jobs. This, too, used to be well known in conservative circles.

lying Ted has a lying Ted fanclub.
The question came from policeman who refused going on disability. Asked about the mindset of Americans abusing social programs. Great hour program, taped in NC the day before.
You are never going to support Cruz anyway, what’s the problem? Cruz simply has not accepted the fact that DT’s supporters know all about them and don’t care. Took me a long time to understand it.
You know, if you had watched you would get it. Believe what you want from a two sentence excerpt. Ted was right on.
I watched it. As he said it should be “a safety trampoline, not a safety hammock”.
.... How many millions of jobs are presently held by illegals?Americans cant find work because of this.
This has nothing to do with illegals. If you read the article or watched video of this you would get it.
... He said what he said and it came out poorly. He said MAYBE disabled people shouldnt be doing heavy manual labor. That was really dumb.
Did you watch the video or the show last night? The cop with the question received a long standing ovation including by Ted who rose and clapped for him. It was not just about disability. The premise of the question was about Americans relying on all social programs instead of picking themselves up. Have you seen the stats on disability SS claims, food stamps etc go up over the last 7 years?
